Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all connecting transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 am, a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon Felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).

Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Indulge in culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
The balconies of the Royal Suites also feature a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, potentially without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Location

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular Marsa Mares bay. The bay is particularly known for its sea turtles and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites distributed throughout the entire complex. Among them are various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and was designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and features a reception with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area and at the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. The friendly furnished double rooms Superior (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, as well as a minibar. The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the double rooms Superior and feature sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Double room Superior Swim-up advantage room

The double rooms Superior Swim-up (DWP) have the same features as the double rooms Superior, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following amenities exclusive to schauinsland-reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the room
- VIP treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

The executive suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant “Marasi Restaurant” offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 am), lunch (12:30-02:30 pm), and dinner (07-10 pm) in buffet style. A late riser breakfast is also available there from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Additionally, two à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are for a fee thereafter: “Tao Tao” restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant “Bay View” offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine. Tea time is offered from 12:30 pm to 05 pm.
