Location

The Jaz Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach in the first row of the popular Marsa Mares bay. The bay is particularly known for its sea turtle population and has a house reef perfect for snorkeling and diving. Your holiday accommodation is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

The stylishly built hotel complex features a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the resort. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort impresses with a very appealing, elegant design and has been conceived very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and includes a reception with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area boasts a large pool landscape that winds through the complex. There are seven different pools, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge for guests in the pool area and on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex has a spacious fitness studio on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's Mivida Spa (for a fee). A main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants, and various bars are available.

Double Room Superior

The brightly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually controlled air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or balcony. Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (DSS), and sea view (DMU). Also bookable for single occupancy.

Double Room Superior Guaranteed Sea View Top Floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Double Superior rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.
Also bookable for single occupancy (MSE).

Double Room Premium Swim-up

The Double Premium Swim-up rooms (DWP) are bookable as schauinsland-reisen Original rooms and have the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms, but with direct access to the shared pool. The rooms also offer the following exclusive amenities:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP Treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, an additional 2 bathrobes and slippers, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and assorted Arabic pastries.
- Use of the à la carte restaurants is included once more (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, à la carte restaurants are included only once).

Double Deluxe

The Double Deluxe (DD2) rooms are larger (approx. 56m²) with the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms and are suitable for families due to their layout (one king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area). Optionally also available with side sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as a swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually controlled air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. Furthermore, the Executive Suites have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.
The rooms are located on the first floor.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153m² and, with the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms, feature a king-size bed and a dining area. Additionally, the rooms have a spacious terrace with access to a private pool (heated in winter) and direct sea view.

Double Room Superior Premium (RMFA45)

With otherwise the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms, these are slightly more spacious (SPU/SPE).

All Inclusive

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2:30 pm), and dinner (7-10 pm) in buffet form. There is also a late riser breakfast available from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Additionally, guests have access to two à la carte restaurants (reservations required), which are included once per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but available for a fee thereafter: "Tao Tao" restaurant offers a selection of Asian dishes, including sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or teppanyaki. The "Bay View" à la carte restaurant offers Mediterranean fine dining cuisine. Tea time is served from 12:30 pm to 5 pm. Various bars offer various refreshments and snacks during the day, such as "La Vista Pool Snack Bar" (snacks and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), "Splash Pool Bar", "Fantasia Lobby Bar", and "Bay View Beach Bar" (snacks and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages).
Smart casual attire is requested for dinner.
Men must wear long trousers and appropriate footwear; no muscle shirts, tank tops, or shorts of any length.
While shorts are acceptable for ladies at dinner, hot pants and very short shorts are not.

Sports included

Fitness and aerobics room on the first floor with a unique panoramic view of the resort and the bay.

Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. Route:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast pack is included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then sails on to Luxor.
Once you arrive, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Temple of Luxor (1,2,3) and the Temple of Karnak (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Temple of Karnak (optional, can be booked additionally on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. A small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are also available. Starting from winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

Entertainment

Occasional evening entertainment with folklore or oriental evenings.

Suite

The brightly furnished Suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the Suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the French balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the Suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the Suites and may lack a French balcony and seating area, instead having a non-opening window.
