Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be taken.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay in the hotel takes place depending on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. excursion by balloon (optional, can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening trip to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue from Esna.
Then on to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Trip to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

Facilities

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides for your physical well-being with delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à la carte restaurants ("Basilico" Italian, "Rocca" Asian, "Zaytoun" oriental, "Mashawi" seafood) spoil you with delicious dishes. In the various bars you will find a wide selection of drinks.
Outside, the complex has five spacious pools (partially heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas and towels are free at the pool and on the beach.

Royal Suite Sea View Private Pool

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously furnished and have the same features as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area and has a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) are 40 m² and have shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony and garden view.
For an extra charge also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S) or sea view (DMU) as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) are, with the same equipment as the double room superior, slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.
