Location

Newly renovated and reopened in 2026, the SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort is located in the north of Hurghada, directly on the beachfront. The spacious and wide beach area with its own jetty invites you to relax and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is approximately 25 kilometers away, and the center of Hurghada is about 16 kilometers away.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was extensively renovated in winter 2025/2026 and shines in a new splendor directly on Hurghada's beachfront. The resort has a total of 569 rooms, spread across various building sections, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The resort offers guests 5 different pools, which are distributed throughout the complex down to the beach. One of the pools can be heated during the winter months, and one pool is exclusively for adults aged 16 and over. In addition, the resort offers three children's pools, all of which are heated. Nestled within the resort, a spacious aqua park offers water fun for all ages: ten different slides provide daily sliding fun, with six additional slides located specifically for younger guests in the children's area. For culinary delights, there are a total of 6 restaurants in the resort (one of which is at a charge), as well as three further à la carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. A selection of eight different bars (one of which is at a charge, another exclusively for guests aged 16 and over) are available throughout the day. Sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas are available free of charge for guests at the pool and on the beach.

Superior Double Room

The nicely furnished rooms (DSB, approx. 32m²) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and a balcony or terrace.
Also available with garden or pool view (DSU), partial sea view (D2S), or direct sea view (DMU).
For single use, bookable as UB1/DSE/1SD/EMU.

Superior Double Room Upgrade Back=Garden or Pool View

The room (DAS), with the same amenities as the DSU, offers the following:
- Early check-in and late check-out
- VIP Treatment: Priority service
- Unlimited access to all à la carte restaurants (except Felucca) free of charge
The room also has a lower price and is exclusively bookable from May 5th to May 30th, 2026.

Family Suite Partial Sea View/Sea View

The family suites (F2M, 50m²) are equipped like the superior rooms, but consist of two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with two single beds. The rooms have a terrace or balcony with partial or direct sea view.

Family Suite Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Family Suite Sea View, these rooms offer direct access to a shared pool (FSU, approx. 48m²).

Superior Double Room Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these rooms (DWU) are 44m² in size and feature a terrace with access to a shared pool.
Also available for single use (WU1).

Deluxe Double Room Pool View

The rooms (DPB), with similar amenities to the Superior Double Rooms, are slightly more spacious (approx. 35m²) and offer pool views.
Also available for single use (DPE).

The holiday resort features six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a midnight snack; Basilico for breakfast and dinner in buffet style and à la carte in the evening; Manzoku for Asian cuisine in à la carte format in the evening; Manohar for Indian cuisine in à la carte format in the evening; Yades for Greek cuisine for lunch and dinner in à la carte format; Felucca for seafood in à la carte format in the evening. Reservations are required for the à la carte restaurants, and the Felucca restaurant is at a charge.
Additionally, the following three à la carte restaurants are available in the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" in the evening upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available in the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) and at the Burger Boulevard from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Eight different bars, two of which are for guests aged 16 and over and one at a charge, are available at various times, some around the clock.

Sports included

Beach volleyball, table tennis, darts, bocce, and a fitness studio.

On-site diving center, wind and kite surfing, banana boat, parasailing (some with external providers!).

Children's program

For the little guests, there is a kids' club "Kids Planet," open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM (for ages 3-12). A wide range of children's activities are offered. Additionally, there are six different children's slides and children's pools (heated in winter).
