Location

Newly renovated and reopened in 2026, the SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort is located in the north of Hurghada, directly on the beachfront. The spacious and wide beach area with its own jetty invites you to relax and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is approximately 25 kilometers away, and the center of Hurghada is about 16 kilometers away.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was extensively renovated in winter 2025/2026 and now shines with renewed splendor directly on Hurghada's beachfront. The resort has a total of 569 rooms, spread across various building areas, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The resort offers guests 5 different pools, distributed throughout the complex down to the beach. One of the pools is heated during the winter months, and one of the pools is exclusively for adults, aged 16 and over. Additionally, the resort offers three children's pools, all of which are heated. Nestled within the resort, a generous aqua park provides water fun for all ages: ten different slides ensure daily sliding fun, with six additional slides specifically for the younger guests in the children's area. Culinary delights are provided by a total of 6 restaurants within the resort (one of which incurs a charge) as well as three additional à la carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. A selection of eight different bars (one of which incurs a charge, another exclusively for ages 16 and over) are available throughout the day. Sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas are provided free of charge for guests at the pool and on the beach.

The nicely furnished rooms (DSB, approx. 32m²) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace.

Family Suite

The family suites with sea view (2FS, 50m²) are equipped like the DSU but consist of two separate bedrooms (one room with a double bed, one room with two single beds).

Family Suite Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Family Suite Sea View, these rooms (FSU, approx. 48m²) have direct access to a shared pool.

Double Room Superior Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Double Room Superior, these rooms (DWU) are 44m² and feature a terrace with access to a shared pool.
Also bookable for single use (WU1).

Double Room Deluxe Pool View

With similar amenities to the Double Room Superior, these rooms (DPB) are slightly more spacious (approx. 35m²) and offer pool views.
Also bookable for single use (DPE).

The holiday resort features six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a midnight snack; Basilico for breakfast and dinner in buffet style and à la carte in the evening; Manzoku for Asian cuisine in à la carte format in the evening; Manohar for Indian cuisine in à la carte format in the evening; Yades for Greek cuisine at lunch and dinner in à la carte format; Felucca for seafood in à la carte format in the evening. Reservations are required for the à la carte restaurants on-site; the Felucca restaurant incurs a charge.
Furthermore, the following three à la carte restaurants are available in the evenings at the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available in the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) and at the Burger Boulevard from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Eight different bars, two of which are for ages 16 and over and one incurs a charge, are available at various times, some around the clock.

Sports included

Beach volleyball, table tennis, darts, bocce, and a fitness studio.

On-site diving center, wind and kite surfing, banana boat, parasailing (some services provided by external providers!).

Children's program

For the younger guests, there is a kids' club called "Kids Planet," available daily from 9 AM to 10 PM (for ages 3-12). A wide-ranging children's program is offered. Additionally, there are six different children's slides and children's pools (heated in winter).
