Location

The SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort, newly renovated and reopened in 2026, is located in the north of Hurghada directly on the beach. The spacious and wide beach area with its own jetty invites you to relax and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is approximately 25 kilometers away, and Hurghada city center is about 16 kilometers away.

Facilities

This original schauinsland-reisen hotel was extensively renovated in the winter of 2025/2026 and now shines with a new splendor directly on Hurghada's beachfront. The resort features a total of 569 newly renovated rooms spread across various buildings, including popular swim-up rooms. The resort offers guests 5 different pools distributed throughout the grounds towards the beach. One of the pools is heated during the winter months, and one pool is exclusively for adults aged 16 and over. Additionally, the resort offers three children's pools, all of which are heated. Nestled within the resort, a generous aqua park provides water fun for all ages: ten different slides ensure daily sliding fun, with six additional slides specifically for younger guests in the children's area. For culinary delights, there are a total of 6 restaurants within the resort (one of which is at an additional charge) and three further à la carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. A selection of eight different bars (one of which is at an additional charge, another exclusively for guests aged 16 and over) are available throughout the day. Sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas are available free of charge for guests at the pool and on the beach.

Accommodation

Superior Double Room

The friendly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 32m²) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace.
Also available for single occupancy (DEU). Also bookable with pool view (DSP), pool and sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), all with the same size and amenities.

Family Suite Sea View

The family suites with sea view (2FM, 50m²) are equipped like the DSU but consist of two separate bedrooms (one room with a double bed, one room with two single beds).

Family Suite Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Family Suite Sea View, these rooms have direct access to a shared pool.

Superior Double Room Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Room, these rooms are 44m² and feature a terrace with access to a shared pool.

The holiday resort features six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a midnight snack; Basilico for breakfast and dinner in buffet style and à la carte in the evening; Manzoku for Asian cuisine à la carte in the evening; Manohar for Indian cuisine à la carte in the evening; Yades for Greek cuisine à la carte for lunch and dinner; Felucca for seafood à la carte in the evening. Reservations are required for the à la carte restaurants, and the Felucca restaurant is at an additional charge.
Additionally, the following three à la carte restaurants are available in the evenings at the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" with reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available at the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) and at the Burger Boulevard from 10 am to 6 pm.
Eight different bars, two of which are for guests aged 16 and over and one at an additional charge, are available at various times, some around the clock.

Sports included

Beach volleyball, table tennis, darts, bocce, and fitness center.

On-site dive center, windsurfing and kitesurfing, banana boat, parasailing (partly external providers!).

Children's program

For the little guests, there is a kids' club "Kids Planet" available daily from 9 am to 10 pm (for ages 3-12). A diverse children's program is offered. Furthermore, there are six different water slides and children's pools (heated in winter).

Wellness

Steam bath, sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, beauty salon, and massages (for a fee, for ages 16 and over).

Live music in the evenings and an amphitheater with evening entertainment program.
