The hotel is located directly on the fine sandy beach of Bahía Petempich bay near Puerto Morelos on the Riviera Maya. Cancun International Airport is about 20 minutes away.

The resort has 444 elegant suites, 1 buffet restaurant, 4 à la carte restaurants, 1 pizzeria, and 6 bars. The outdoor area features 5 spacious pools, including children's and swim-up areas, a modern spa, a fully equipped fitness center, 2 tennis courts, and the "Star Camp" kids' club. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and is included.

Double Room Premium Pool View

The rooms are modernly furnished and feature a bathroom with a shower. Further amenities include a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, air conditioning, hairdryer, iron, flat-screen TV, a safe, and a minibar replenished daily. All rooms have a balcony or terrace (PPD/1PP). Swim-up rooms with direct pool access are also available at an additional charge (RU2).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Junior Suite Pool View

With the same amenities as the Double Room Premium rooms, but more spacious (J2P/J1P). Rooms with sea view are also available at an additional charge (JOV). Rooms with direct pool access are also available at an additional charge (2YZ).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Corner Suite Ocean Front

With the same amenities as the Junior Suite, but more spacious. Additionally, the rooms are located directly by the sea and feature a terrace (CSZ).

One Bedroom Family Pool View

With the same amenities as the Junior Suite, but the room is divided into two areas. In addition to the queen-size bed, there is a sofa bed or 2 single beds. All rooms have a balcony (FP2).

The approximately 58 sqm rooms are located on the 4th floor and feature a sleeping area separated by a sliding door with a sofa bed, a queen-size bed, air conditioning, hairdryer, telephone, safe, shower/toilet, and a balcony or terrace (2FM/1FM).

One Bedroom Family Pool Walkout

These are also approximately 58 sqm and are located near the children's pool. Further amenities include a sleeping area separated by a sliding door with single beds, a queen-size bed, air conditioning, safe, TV, shower/toilet, a Jacuzzi tub in the room, and a balcony or terrace (2FP/1FP).

Penthouse Suite Ocean Front (CUN226I)

With approximately 231 sqm, these suites offer ample space, are located on the 4th floor, and are close to the beach. Further amenities include two bedrooms, a living area with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, air conditioning, a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, hairdryer, telephone, iron, flat-screen TV, a safe, a Jacuzzi in the room, and a balcony (OX2).

No smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause some noise.
