Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean. The beach and the sea may be affected by this. The hotel management and local authorities naturally strive to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal authorities. This requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight background noise.
