Hotelhinweis

Additionally bookable under CUNA46.

Effective immediately, hotels in Mexico will introduce an "Eco-Tax". Every guest of a hotel room in Mexico is required to pay a state-levied fee in cash at the hotel upon arrival, similar to a tourist tax.
**************************************

Zusatzhinweis

In Mexico, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
**************************************
A tourism tax was implemented on April 1, 2021, and is currently a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos (approx. 11 US Dollars) per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.
The tax can be paid electronically before departure via the following link: http://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/
Alternatively, the tax can also be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is recommended to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

Between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is common during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities strive to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administration. However, the use of appropriate machinery is required for this, which may cause a slight noise level.
