Location

The hotel, newly opened in winter 2019, is located directly on the extensive, gently sloping sandy beach. Cancun Airport is approx. 20 minutes away by car. Playa del Carmen, with its numerous entertainment and shopping opportunities, is approx. 47 km away.

Facilities

The resort has 553 modernly furnished junior suites and suites, a reception area with a front desk and comfortable seating. A total of 8 restaurants cater to culinary delights (Barefoot Grill, Bluewater Grill, Buffet restaurant, Italian, Seafood, French, Asian and Mexican), an ice cream parlor, a café (coffee, tea and snacks), 6 bars (Lobby bar, pool bar, beach bar, sports bar and disco, swim-up bar, theater bar). Further amenities include 3 pools, a children's splash pool, a disco (ages 18+), Wi-Fi, laundry service (for a fee), souvenir shop, and air-conditioned conference rooms. Beach towels, loungers, and umbrellas are included at the beach and pool.

The Garden View Junior Suites have a combined living/sleeping area, bathroom, shower, toilet, air conditioning, minibar (refilled daily), safe, Smart TV, balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1). Also bookable at an additional charge with Tropical View (JD2/JD1), partial sea view (JVZ), sea side (JM2/JM1) or swim-out (JSO).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons for children, schauinsland-reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View

These suites have the same amenities as the Junior Suites with sea view, plus additional amenities: Preferred Club Lounge/Personalized check-in and check-out/Daily continental breakfast/Hot and cold hors d'oeuvres in the afternoon/Exquisite desserts and fine spirits/complimentary business center (PJO). Also bookable as Ocean Front (PCO).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For double occupancy with 1-2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are placed in the room; meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

A tourism tax came into effect on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

Alternatively, the tax can be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is advisable to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transportation, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punishable by fines or imprisonment.
