The hotel is located directly on the long, fine sandy beach at the end of the Cancun hotel zone. Numerous restaurants and entertainment options are 15 minutes away by car. The airport is approximately 15 minutes away by car.

The beautiful complex features 426 rooms spread over 9 floors, a reception area with front desk and seating, various bars, including a lobby bar, sports bar, and a beach bar. Gastronomic facilities include a buffet restaurant and 5 à-la-carte restaurants (Japanese, Mexican, Italian, American Bistro, and a steakhouse), the Star Café, and food trucks. In the well-maintained, modern outdoor area, there is a spacious freshwater swimming pool landscape with 6 infinity pools and a sun terrace. For younger guests, there is a colorful aqua park with a pirate ship. Sun loungers and pool towels are included at the pool and beach.

Double Room Standard/Premium Room

The rooms are luxuriously and comfortably furnished, located in the main building, and offer a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, cable TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (free of charge), air conditioning, minibar (replenished daily), coffee machine, safe, iron, and a French balcony (D/DE). Also bookable as Premium Side Ocean View (PSO/PSS) or Premium Ocean View (PVO/PVA).

Villa Poolside

The villas are located in a quiet area with garden views and pool access. They are also equipped with one king-size bed or two double beds, free Wi-Fi, coffee machine, hairdryer, room service, bathroom/WC, iron/ironing board, safe, and a balcony (V2/V1). Also bookable under CUN157I as Villa Ocean Front (VOF/VO1) or Villa Ocean Front Swim Out, which are located just a few steps from the beach and offer access to a shared pool (VOS/OQ1).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for bookings of these room types at Schauinsland-Reisen, a minimum age of 6 years is required for children for safety reasons.

Suite Ocean Front

The suites have the same amenities and additionally feature a balcony with a whirlpool and views of the azure blue ocean (OFZ/VOE). Bookable under CUN157I.

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; this means: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Run of the House (CUN157I)

Room assignment is made on-site by the hotel. Guest preferences regarding room category cannot be considered (RO2/RO1).

Family Suite (CUN157I)

The approx. 89 m² family suites offer plenty of space. They feature a separate bedroom separated by a sliding door, a living/sleeping area with a sofa bed, TV, hairdryer, safe, shower/WC, and a furnished balcony (2F1).

Master Suite Ocean View (CUN157I)

With approx. 137 m², these offer plenty of space and are located on the upper floors. They are equipped with a whirlpool on the terrace, living area, separate bedroom, and ocean view (MSM/Q1W).

Two Bedroom Family Ocean View (CUN157I)

These approx. 74 m² rooms consist of two rooms with a connecting door. Each room features a double bed or two single beds and a sofa bed or couch, 2 TVs, and a bathroom with shower/WC (LQ2).

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased appearance of brown algae in the Caribbean is common. The beach and the sea are affected by this. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight background noise.
