Note

Dress code: Casual, knee-length trousers for men required in à la carte restaurants. Wearing a bracelet is necessary to use the All-Inclusive services. Serving alcoholic beverages to minors under 18 years of age is prohibited. Voltage: 110V. In Mexico, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be open and integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
Hotels in Mexico are gradually introducing an "Eco-Tax".
Consequently, every hotel room user in Mexico is obliged to pay a local state tax in cash at the hotel, similar to a tourist tax.
**************************************
A tourism tax came into force on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.
The tax can be paid electronically before departure via the following link: http://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/
Alternatively, the tax can also be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is advisable to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal Note

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are often found in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight noise disturbance.
