Location

Located directly on the kilometer-long fine sandy beach of Playa Bavaro in Arena Gorda.
Punta Cana International Airport is approximately 25 km away. Santo Domingo can be reached in about 2 hours by car.

Facilities

Opened in December 2016, this luxury resort consists of a total of 510 units spread across 5 adults-only buildings and 2 family buildings. Within the garden area, there are 12 swimming pools, 4 of which feature swim-up bars, and 5 whirlpools. Numerous Bali beds and sun loungers in the beautifully landscaped gardens invite you to relax. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available free of charge at the beach. Culinary needs are catered for by 2 buffet restaurants and 6 à-la-carte restaurants. One restaurant is open 24 hours a day. Additionally, there are 11 bars (three additional bars for the Mirage Club), a coffee bar with snacks, a 24-hour sports bar, and a disco. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire resort.

Suite

The high-quality furnished suites are equipped with 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, a bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower, plasma TV with satellite reception, individually adjustable air conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, minibar with daily replenishment, safe, and a balcony with a whirlpool. The rooms are located on the 2nd to 4th floors and offer pool views.

Suite Swim Up

With the same features as the suites, these are located on the ground floor and feature a small garden with a Bali bed and direct access to the pool.
Rooms with direct pool access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is common during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities naturally strive to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which may generate a slight noise level.
