Location

The adults-only hotel, part of the larger Bavaro Resort complex by the Bahia Principe hotel chain, is located on Playa Bávaro beach (Higüey). It is a 35-minute drive from Punta Cana Airport, 90 minutes from La Romana Airport, and 55 minutes from Higüey. The wonderful white sandy beach, surrounded by tropical vegetation, is approximately a 10-minute walk away (shuttle service available every 10 minutes). This hotel is also ideal for golf enthusiasts, being close to 5 golf courses in the region.

Facilities

An ideal hotel for active guests young at heart, offering themed days and pool parties. Modern sports facilities like TRX and contemporary dining options. This well-maintained 5-star resort in the hotel chain features 498 Junior Suites and offers guests the following amenities: a main restaurant, two à la carte specialty restaurants. The restaurants are air-conditioned. Large sun terraces. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Guests can also use the facilities of its 2 sister hotels, Grand Bavaro and Grand Punta Cana, as well as the new leisure area with a gym and a new sports bar. Guests of Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine have access to the facilities and restaurants of all Grand Hotels within the Bahia Principe Bavaro complex, with the exception of the buffet restaurants. Guests also have access to the à la carte restaurants and the sports bar of Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar.

The approximately 27 sqm Junior Suites with a seating area feature 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, a bathroom with hydromassage bathtub and shower, hairdryer, vanity mirror, air conditioning, iron and ironing board, minibar, safe, in-room Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and a balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). In case of occupancy with 2 adults + 1/2 children or 3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room. This means occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period, affecting the beach and sea. Hotel management and local authorities are committed to cleaning affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipalities. However, this requires the use of equipment that may generate some noise.
