Location

This adults-only hotel, part of the Bavaro Resort complex of the Bahia Principe hotel chain, is located on Playa Bávaro (Higüey), 35 minutes from Punta Cana airport, 90 minutes from La Romana airport, and 55 minutes from Higüey. The wonderful white sandy beach, surrounded by tropical vegetation, can be reached in approximately 10 minutes on foot (a shuttle service is offered every 10 minutes). Among other things, this hotel is ideal for golf enthusiasts, as it is located near 5 golf courses in the region.

Accommodation

An ideal hotel for active guests who are young at heart, featuring themed days and pool parties. Offers modern sports facilities like TRX and modern gastronomy. This well-maintained 5-star complex of the hotel chain has 498 junior suites and offers its guests the following amenities: a main restaurant and two à la carte specialty restaurants. The restaurants are air-conditioned. Large sun terraces. Sun loungers, parasols, and pool towels are provided free of charge at the pool and beach. The facilities of the 2 sister hotels, Grand Bavaro and Grand Punta Cana, as well as the new leisure area with a gym and a new sports bar, can also be used. Guests of Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine have access to the facilities and restaurants of all Escape hotels within the Bahia Principe Bavaro complex, with the exception of the buffet restaurants. Guests also have access to the à-la-carte restaurants and the sports bar of the Bahia Principe Escape Ambar.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded during this time. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight level of noise.
