The hotel of the Bahia Principe hotel chain is located on Playa Bávaro beach (Higüey), 35 minutes from Punta Cana Airport, 90 minutes from La Romana Airport, and 55 minutes from Higüey. On a wonderful beach with white sand and surrounded by tropical vegetation, this property is particularly suitable for families. Facilities

The well-maintained 5-star complex of the beautiful chain offers its guests the following amenities: an air-conditioned main restaurant, a snack bar, and 1 à la carte specialty restaurant. The highlight is the water and adventure park for children with a lagoon-style pool, a large pool, and a huge children's area, swim-up bar, and large sun terraces. Loungers, parasols, and beach towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. The main area also offers a large, open lobby with a reception. Facilities of the sister hotels Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro and Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana (with the exception of the buffet restaurants) can be used. Facilities of the Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia and Aquamarine Hotels cannot be used.

The beautiful, large rooms are in Caribbean style and have a bathroom, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, minibar (soft drinks, water, and beer included), safe, coffee and tea maker, iron/ironing board, small seating area, and balcony or terrace (JU2/JU1).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). If occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal Note

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased amount of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can generate some noise.
