The VIK Hotel group's resort is located directly on the long, fine sandy beach of Playa Bavaro. Approximately 30 minutes from the airport and about 5 minutes from the "Plaza Bavaro" shopping center.

The tastefully designed holiday resort features a Caribbean-style lobby, reception, 5 bars, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, a beach restaurant, souvenir shop, mini-market, boutique, VIK Spa (wellness, fitness), and internet service (partially for a fee). The 447 rooms are spread across 5 three-story buildings surrounding the swimming pool area with sun terrace and loungers, and a pool/beach bar. Pool/beach towels, sunshades, and loungers are included at the pool and on the beach.
VIK hotel Cayena Beach is a luxurious VIP area exclusively accessible to its guests. The resort offers 47 exclusive deluxe suites on 3 levels, a separate reception, a tropical restaurant with a bar, and a private pool with a pool bar and sun deck. Loungers are included at the private beach section. Guests of the Cayena Beach Club have access to all facilities of the entire resort.

Superior Double Room

Same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but with an additional separate room offering sleeping facilities (SF2/SF3/KF3/KF4/KF6).

Superior Family Suite

While offering the same amenities as the Family Suite, these rooms have a more modern decor (3FF/2FF).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). When occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children or 3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room. This means each person occupies one bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. Specifically, there is often a noticeable increase of brown algae in the Caribbean. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, committed to cleaning affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of equipment that may generate some noise.
