Veranda cabins offer a feeling of freedom right outside your cabin door. With 16–20 m² of interior space and a generous exterior area of 4–16 m², a harmonious mix of living comfort and fresh sea air is created. More space for real vacation moments: The Veranda cabins Comfort offer around 20 m² of living space and a generous veranda (4–16 m²), ideal for relaxed hours in the fresh sea air. The hammock on the veranda makes the view of the sea the perfect moment of enjoyment.

Booking children under 2 years
Booking is only possible upon request. Initially, an option without infant is created. Please note: maximum occupancy in all cabin categories is 4 persons incl. baby. Iberostar Selection Bávaro Suites

Location

The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach of Playa Bavaro. Restaurants, bars, and various shopping and entertainment opportunities are nearby. It is only 25 km to the international airport of Punta Cana.

Completely renovated in winter 19/20, the Iberostar Selection Bavaro consists of a total of 598 rooms that leave nothing to be desired. They are distributed among several two-story bungalows within the tropically landscaped hotel grounds. Furthermore, the hotel has a lobby with reception, buffet restaurant, 6 à la carte restaurants (Greek, gourmet restaurant, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and steakhouse), beach restaurant, 5 bars, swim-up bar, garden area with lagoon-style pool landscape, sun terrace, and snack bar.

Junior suite

The junior suites feature a sleeping and living area with sofa bed, coffee/tea maker, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, Wi-Fi (incl.), telephone, bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, and balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2). Also bookable as Oceanfront Junior suite (2JO) and in winter as super saver room (SSZ/SSE).

Junior suite Tropical View

With the same amenities and size as the junior suites, these are located closer to the sea and also offer a turndown service (1x per stay), garden or pool view (PTZ). Also bookable closer to the pool as Junior suite Near Pool (NPS). Also bookable closer to the beach as Junior suite Near Beach (JNB) or first beach row with sea view as Junior suite Ocean Front (2JO).

Family suite

With otherwise the same amenities and size as the junior suites, these consist of two junior suites with a connecting door (2FS/KF3/KF5/KF6).

Spa Junior suite

With the same amenities and size as the junior suites with king-size bed or two double beds, tea set, bathrobes (J2F).

With the same amenities as the Junior suite, these rooms feature a terrace and are located directly by the pool (no private pool, no sharing pool) (2YZ).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are placed in the room; this means occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Junior suite Pool Access Terrace (PUJ192I)

Similar to the Junior suites Pool Access, these junior suites are located directly by the pool, which is accessible via the terrace (no private pool, no sharing pool, JRT). Optionally also bookable for single use (T1D).

Zusatzhinweis

Features the Winnow system for reducing food waste, 3R equipment for waste management in the hotels, and installed drinking water fountains.
Guests staying in the Bávaro complex can visit the Coral Lab to see corals and learn more about them. Thanks to the two coral nurseries in front of the hotel, where we work with our scientific team to restore the reefs.
The hotel has its own composting facility. Organic waste is converted into compost that we can use for our gardens.
We are part of the country's national mangrove restoration program, and in the Bávaro complex, we have planted more than 19,000 mangroves donated by the Ministry of the Environment.
Beehives are rescued and taken to the apiary we have in the complex, which can be visited by all guests.
In collaboration with the National Aquarium, the Dominican Republic's Institute of Environmental Law, and the Blue Flag program, the National Aquarium rescues turtles. As soon as they have reached an appropriate size and health, they are released on the beaches of the Iberostar hotels.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae is often recorded in the Caribbean during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which generates a slight background noise.
