Veranda Cabin

The Veranda cabins offer a sense of freedom right outside your cabin door. With 16–20 sqm of indoor space and a generous outdoor area of 4–16 sqm, they create a harmonious blend of living comfort and fresh sea air. A private veranda with a hammock, flexible sleeping arrangements, and a modern bathroom with a shower transform these cabins into a personal favorite spot – ideal for unwinding.

More space for genuine holiday moments: The Veranda Cabins Comfort offer around 20 sqm of living space and a spacious veranda (4–16 sqm), perfect for relaxing hours in the fresh sea air. Modern amenities, a stylish bathroom, and special features – from a walk-in closet to separate areas for shower and toilet – create a particularly pleasant living experience. The hammock on the veranda makes gazing at the sea a perfect moment of enjoyment.

Iberostar Selection Bávaro Suites

Location

The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach of Playa Bavaro. Restaurants, bars, and various shopping and entertainment options are nearby. The international airport of Punta Cana is only 25 km away.

The Iberostar Selection Bavaro, completely renovated in Winter 19/20, comprises a total of 598 rooms that leave nothing to be desired. They are spread across several two-story bungalows within the tropically landscaped hotel complex. Furthermore, the hotel offers a lobby with a reception, buffet restaurant, 6 à la carte restaurants (Greek, Gourmet, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and Steakhouse), a beach restaurant, 5 bars, a swim-up bar, a garden area with a lagoon-like pool landscape, a sun terrace, and a snack bar.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites feature a sleeping and living area with a sofa bed, coffee/tea maker, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, Wi-Fi (incl.), telephone, bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, and balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2). Also bookable as Oceanfront Junior Suite (2JO) and in winter as Super Saver Room (SSZ/SSE).

Junior Suite Tropical View

With the same amenities and size as the Junior Suites, these are located closer to the sea and additionally offer turndown service (1x per stay), garden or pool view (PTZ). Also bookable closer to the pool than Junior Suite Near Pool (NPS). Also bookable closer to the beach than Junior Suite Near Beach (JNB) or first beach line with sea view as Junior Suite Ocean Front (2JO).

Family Suite

With otherwise identical amenities and size as the Junior Suites, these consist of two Junior Suites with a connecting door (2FS/KF3/KF5/KF6).

Spa Junior Suite

With the same amenities and size as the Junior Suites with a king-size bed or two double beds, tea set, bathrobes (J2F).

Zusatzhinweis

Features the Winnow system for reducing food waste, 3R devices for
waste management in hotels, and installed drinking water fountains.
Guests staying in the Bávaro complex can visit the Coral Lab to see and learn about corals.
Thanks to the two coral nurseries in front of the hotel, where we work with our scientific team to restore reefs.
The hotel has its own composting plant. Organic waste is converted into compost that we can use for our gardens.
We are part of the country's national mangrove restoration program, and in the
Bávaro complex, we have planted over 19,000 mangroves donated by the Ministry of Environment.
Beehives are saved and brought to the apiary we have in the complex, which can be visited by all guests.
In cooperation with the National Aquarium, the Dominican Republic Environmental Law Institute, and the Blue Flag Program, the National Aquarium rescues turtles. Once they reach a suitable size and health, they are released on the beaches of Iberostar hotels.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased presence of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are frequently observed in the Caribbean. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
