Booking for children under 2 years
Booking can only be made on request. Initially, an option without an infant is created. Please note: the maximum occupancy in all cabin categories is 4 people incl. baby. Subsequently, a binding request with all required data is sent via email. If no option is available, a booking request via email is recommended.

Iberostar Selection Bávaro Suites

Location

The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach of Playa Bavaro. Restaurants, bars, and various shopping and entertainment venues are in the vicinity. Punta Cana International Airport is only 25 km away.

Completely renovated in winter 19/20, the Iberostar Selection Bavaro consists of a total of 598 rooms that leave nothing to be desired. They are distributed across several two-story bungalows within the tropical hotel grounds. Furthermore, the hotel features a lobby with a reception, a buffet restaurant, 6 à-la-carte restaurants (Greek, gourmet restaurant, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and steakhouse), a beach restaurant, 5 bars, a swim-up bar, a garden area with a lagoon-style pool landscape, a sun terrace, and a snack bar.

Junior suite

The junior suites feature a sleeping and living area with a sofa bed, coffee/tea maker, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, Wi-Fi (incl.), telephone, bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, and balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2). Also bookable as an Oceanfront Junior suite (2JO) and in winter as a super-saver room (SSZ/SSE).

Junior suite Tropical View

With the same equipment and size as the junior suites, these are located closer to the sea and also offer a turndown service (1x per stay), garden or pool view (PTZ). Also bookable closer to the pool as Junior suite Near Pool (NPS). Also bookable closer to the beach as Junior suite Near Beach (JNB) or in the first beach row with sea view as Junior suite Ocean Front (2JO).

Family suite

With otherwise the same equipment and size as the junior suites, these consist of two junior suites with a connecting door (2FS/KF3/KF5/KF6).

Spa Junior suite

With the same equipment and size as the junior suites with a king-size bed or two double beds, tea set, bathrobes (J2F).

Junior suite Pool Access

With the same equipment as the junior suite, these rooms feature a terrace and are located directly by the pool (no private pool, no sharing pool) (2YZ).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; i.e., occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Junior suite Pool Access Terrace (PUJ192I)

Equipped similarly to the Junior suites Pool Access, these junior suites are located directly by the pool, which is accessible via the terrace (no private pool, no sharing pool, JRT). Also bookable for single use (T1D).

One Bedroom Family (PUJ192I)

Zusatzhinweis

Features the Winnow system for reducing food waste, 3R equipment for
waste management in the hotels, and installed drinking water fountains.
Guests staying at the Bávaro complex can visit the Coral Lab to see and learn about
corals. Thanks to the two coral nurseries in front of the hotel, where we work with our
scientific team to restore the reefs.
The hotel has its own composting plant. Organic waste is converted into compost,
which we can use for our gardens.
We are part of the country's national mangrove restoration program, and at the
Bávaro complex, we have planted more than 19,000 mangroves donated by the Ministry of the Environment.
Beehives are rescued and taken to the apiary we have on the complex, which can be
visited by all guests.
In collaboration with the National Aquarium, the Institute for Environmental Law of the
Dominican Republic, and the Blue Flag program, the National Aquarium rescues
turtles. Once they have reached an appropriate size and health, they are released on the
beaches of the Iberostar hotels.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and current. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in collaboration with the municipal administrations. For this, however, the use of appropriate machinery is necessary, which generates a slight noise level.
