Location

The hotel in the Juan Dolio district is located directly on the gently sloping, fine sandy beach with coral reefs offshore. Shops and bars nearby. Santo Domingo Airport is approx. 30 minutes away and Punta Cana Airport is approx. 2.5 hours away from Juan Dolio. The "Guavaberry" Golf and Country Club is about 5 km away.

The hotel complex consists of a main building with three adjacent buildings. General facilities include a reception hall, the "Ambar" buffet restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants with Mediterranean and Dominican cuisine, 3 bars (including snack bar, pool bar, 24-hour sports bar), nightclub, "Cacao" theater, minimarket, lounges, 2 swimming pools with sun terrace, sun loungers and towels (included, also on the beach), a whirlpool, and a children's pool.

The rooms, decorated in Caribbean style, have a bathroom/shower, toilet, direct dial telephone, air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, safe (rental fee) and balcony, garden view (DSU/DEU).

Double Room Deluxe

With the same amenities as the Double Room Superior (DD2/DD1), these rooms offer limited pool or sea views.

Double Room Deluxe Type A

These are Double Room Deluxe at the daily rate (DDA).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults occupancy, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

All Inclusive

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the "Ambar" buffet restaurant, dinner at the à la carte restaurant possible by reservation (Steak dishes/lobster at extra charge/reservation required). Children's menus in all à la carte restaurants. 24h snacks, table wine with meals, unlimited local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Drinks and entry to the "Boom" disco included.

Note

A wristband is required to use the all-inclusive services. In cases of low hotel occupancy, there may be exceptional restrictions on restaurant opening hours (main restaurant excluded).
In the Dominican Republic, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without a spatial separation.

Seasonal Note

During stays between April and December, an increased presence of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight background noise.
