Location

The hotel is located directly by the sea, approximately 3 km from the fishing village of Bayahibe. Several shops, bars, and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Punta Cana Airport is approximately 80 km away.

The popular hotel whala!bayahibe has a total of 295 rooms spread across several buildings. In the beautifully landscaped outdoor area, there are 4 pools in total, 3 of which are filled with saltwater. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge by the pool and at the beach. Culinary needs are catered for by a buffet restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant (with prior reservation), a specialty restaurant (Japanese, for an additional charge), as well as a bar, snack bar, and beach bar.

For stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seagrass and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight level of noise.
