Location

The hotel is located directly on the fine, light-colored natural beach of El Medano, one of the longest beaches on the island, right on the edge of the Montana Roja nature reserve. A beautiful wooden promenade along the sea leads you to the center of El Medano in just a few minutes' walk, where you can still find local charm. It is approximately a 20-minute drive to the resort of Playa de las Américas, and the airport (TFS) is only about 7 kilometers away, although aircraft noise is extremely rare.

The complex has a total of 79 non-smoking rooms spread over 3 floors. Facilities include a reception, elevator, lobby, pool bar (12 p.m. – 7 p.m.), buffet restaurant, and "HITO 257" restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine with high-quality local products. In the outdoor area, there is a saltwater pool with a pool/snack bar (not heated). Sun loungers and parasols are free of charge. There is a free car park for hotel guests in front of the hotel.

Superior Double Room

These renovated rooms are approx. 20m² in size and feature a bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, full-body mirror, pool towels, telephone, Wi-Fi included, twin beds, double bed (on request), rental safe, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-fridge, 43" flatscreen Smart TV, as well as blackout curtains, ceiling fan (floors 0-2), and balcony (DSU). Also bookable for single occupancy (DSE).

Superior Double Room with Sea View

These rooms are equipped the same as the Superior Double Rooms but additionally offer a magnificent sea view. (DMU). Also bookable for single occupancy (DME).

Mountain bike rental near the hotel provided by third-party suppliers. A storage room for bicycles and surfing equipment is available at the hotel for a fee.

The Playa Surf CBbC Hotel in El Médano is known as a pioneer in the windsurfing sector. The funboard used all over the world today was designed and tested here in 1982.
Due to its safe, onshore winds, the bay of El Médano is one of the best windsurfing areas in the world. This is why it is often called 'Little Hawaii' or the 'European answer to Hawaii'!
The hotel has a limited number of storage boxes for your own surf and kiteboards (available for a fee on site).
Due to the ideal beachfront location of the Playa Surf CBbC Hotel (designed by the famous Canarian artist Cesar Manrique), athletes can start directly into the sea via approx. 30m of sandy beach. Wind statistics show that there is wind in the bay of El Médano on approx. 75% of all days. The wind speeds measured are between 4 and 5 Beaufort.
World Cups are often held there in the summer.
