Location

The hotel is located directly on the fine, light-colored natural beach of El Medano, one of the longest beaches on the island, right on the edge of the Montana Roja nature reserve. A beautiful wooden promenade along the sea leads you to the town center of El Medano in just a few minutes' walk, where you can still find typical local charm. Playa de las Américas is about a 20-minute drive away, and the airport (TFS) is only about 7 kilometers away, yet aircraft noise is rarely heard.

The complex has a total of 79 non-smoking rooms on 3 floors. Facilities include a reception, elevator, lobby, pool bar (12 PM - 7 PM), buffet restaurant, and the "HITO 257" restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine and local, high-quality products. Outdoors, there is a saltwater pool with a pool/snack bar (not heated). Sun loungers and umbrellas are free of charge. There is free parking in front of the hotel for hotel guests.

Double Room Superior

The renovated rooms are approx. 20m² and feature a bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, full-length mirror, pool towels, telephone, Wi-Fi included, twin beds, double bed (on request), rental safe, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-fridge, 43" flatscreen Smart TV, blackout curtains, ceiling fan (floors 0-2), and a balcony (DSU). Also bookable for single occupancy (DSE).

Double Room Superior Sea View

These rooms are equipped the same as the Double Rooms Superior, but additionally offer a magnificent sea view (DMU). Also bookable for single occupancy (DME).

The Hotel Playa Surf CBbC Hotel in El Médano is known as a pioneer in windsurfing. The Funboard, now ridden worldwide, was designed and tested here in 1982.
El Médano Bay is one of the best windsurfing spots in the world due to its safe onshore winds. It is therefore often called 'Little Hawaii' or the 'European answer to Hawaii'!
The hotel has a limited number of storage boxes for your own surfboards and kiteboards (fee payable on site).
Due to the ideal beachfront location of the Hotel Playa Surf CBbC Hotel (based on designs by the famous Canarian artist Cesar Manrique), athletes can launch directly into the sea over approx. 30m of sandy beach. Wind statistics indicate that there is wind in El Médano Bay on approximately 75% of all days. The wind speeds measured are between 4 and 5 Beaufort.
World Cups are often held here in the summer.
