Location

The attractive country house was built in colonial style and is located quietly amidst a banana plantation at the foot of the approximately 400-meter-high “Montaña de Arucas”. Apart from banana plantations, Arucas is also known for sugarcane cultivation, from which the famous Arucas rum is distilled, and also for the Gothic Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, which dates back to 1909. The city center with shopping and entertainment facilities as well as bars and restaurants is about 2 kilometers away. A public transport stop is just a few minutes' walk away for guests. The well-known city beach Las Canteras in Las Palmas is about 15 kilometers away.

Facilities

The building, which dates back to the 18th century, was formerly used to dry coffee beans and corn to produce Gofio, a typical staple food (roasted cornmeal), and later served as warehouses for bananas and sugarcane. In the surrounding area, where bananas grow today, sugarcane was cultivated back then. The total area of the finca is 500,000 m², with banana plantations as far as the eye can see. Paths lead through the plantation and invite you for a stroll. The town of Arucas is about a 15-minute walk from the finca. During the restoration, materials such as granite stone and teak wood were used, which were professionally refurbished and thus reused true to the original.
The hotel has 2 floors with a total of 18 rooms and suites spread over the lower and upper floors. Furthermore, there is a spacious lounge with an open fireplace (only operated in winter) and various cozy sofa corners, a small open lounge area, a small reception, a restaurant with a courtyard, a beautifully landscaped garden, and a swimming pool (can be heated in winter) with a sun terrace and loungers.

Each room is decorated differently and features a bathroom with bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), safe (rental), telephone, and a small radiator on request (D).

As the double rooms, with an additional living area. The rooms are divided into 2 levels and the upper floor can be reached via a wooden staircase (JS2).

Therefore, regular office hours for tour guides are not conducted. Instead, each traveler has the opportunity to arrange an appointment by phone if needed. The categorization of a finca is only a rough guide, as the furnishings are individual and do not include the services of a hotel!
