Built in the style of a Spanish hacienda, the hotel has a total of 231 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with a reception, a souvenir shop (during high season), a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, and a lounge. In the hotel's garden area, there is a swimming pool (freshwater) with a separate children's pool, a sun terrace with a lawn, and a pool bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge. From mid-June to mid-September, a chill-out bar, a beach bar, and the beach club (1 saltwater pool/€5 entrance fee per room per day, adults only) are available, weather permitting. Sun loungers on the beach are free except from June to September (approx. €6 per day).

The double rooms have a shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, heating, air conditioning, minibar, Smart TV, and rental safe, Wi-Fi (included), terrace or balcony (D). Also bookable as a double room for single use (DE).

Double Room Superior

The Superior Double Rooms have the same amenities as the Double Rooms, but are larger, with a bathtub and massage shower in the bathroom, a separate toilet, and are mostly located on the first floor with a view of the pool or patio (DSU).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites have the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but with a separate living/sleeping area (mostly consist of two rooms, sometimes one room) (JS2).

Studio

The studios, renovated in 2019, are cozy and offer approx. 35-40 sqm of space. They also feature a shower or bathtub/WC, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), rental safe, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, sofa, and a balcony with seating (S12).

Family Junior Suite

The Family Junior Suites, with otherwise identical amenities to the double rooms, have a bedroom with two single beds, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, and a living room with two extra beds (FJ3).

The Family Rooms offer approx. 50 sqm of space and are located on the ground floor. They have a separate bedroom, a living/sleeping area with sofa beds, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, bath or shower/WC, telephone, hairdryer, and terrace (DF2).

Arrival by car

Directions from Jerez Airport (XRY):
After leaving the airport premises, take the A4. Drive towards Jerez/Cadiz. You will bypass the city of Jerez and after a few kilometers reach the exit for Sanlucar/Chipiona. After a few kilometers on the subsequent coastal road, you will see the signpost for Rota. Follow this sign and leave the coastal road at the Rota exit. Drive towards "centro ciudad"/city center in Rota. You will reach the town center and your holiday hotel Playa de la Luz. Travel time approx. 30-45 minutes.
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
After leaving the airport premises, take the "A4/AP4". Drive always towards "Cadiz". You will bypass the city of Seville and after approx. 10 km reach the exit for Cadiz. Then take the "AP4" to Cadiz, which has a toll of about €6.
After 90 km you will reach Jerez de la Frontera and at the same time leave the motorway at the "Jerez/Aeropuerto" exit. Follow the signs for Aeropuerto until you reach the "A4" towards Cadiz. Then take the "A4" Cadiz and after approx. 15 km leave it at the "Sanlucar/Chipiona" exit. After a few kilometers, you will see the signpost for Rota. In Rota, drive towards "centro ciudad"/city center and you will reach the town center and find your holiday hotel "Playa de la Luz". Travel time approx. 90 minutes.
Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport premises and take the N340 towards Cadiz. Continue to follow this route until the A7 Algeciras/Cadiz exit. The A7 runs directly to Algeciras (approx. 100 km). So always follow the A7. You will repeatedly see signs for the AP7 along the way. This is the toll motorway, which you can also follow. Upon arrival in Algeciras, leave the A7 at the Jerez/Los Barrios exit. This motorway will take you directly to Jerez and ends there. Drive for 90 km to the end of the motorway, until it becomes a single-lane country road. After a few meters, leave the country road and take the AP4 towards Seville. Follow the AP4 for only a short distance, as at the very next exit Jerez Norte/Aeropuerto, leave the AP4 and drive towards Aeropuerto. Follow the signs until you reach the A4 Cadiz. Then take the A4 towards Cadiz and leave the motorway after approx. 15 km at the Sanlucar/Chipiona exit. After a few kilometers, you will see the signpost for Rota. In Rota, drive towards "centro ciudad"/city center and you will reach the town center and your holiday hotel Playa de la Luz. Travel time approx. 3 hours.
