The Hotel Playa de la Luz, furnished in an Andalusian style, is located directly on the beach, nestled between pine forests and dunes, right next to the Los Corrales natural monument. The center of the beautiful town of Rota, with its restaurants, shops, and bars, is only about 2 km away.

Facilities

Built in the style of a Spanish hacienda, the hotel has a total of 231 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with a reception, a souvenir shop (in high season), a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, and a lounge. In the hotel's garden area, you will find a swimming pool (freshwater) with a separate children's pool, a sun terrace with a lawn for sunbathing, and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available here free of charge. From mid-June to mid-September, a chill-out bar, a beach bar, and the beach club (1x saltwater pool / €5 entry fee per room per day, adults only) are available on the beach, weather permitting. Sun loungers on the beach are free, except from June to September (approx. €6 per day).

Double Room

The double rooms feature a shower or bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, heating, air conditioning, minibar, smart TV, rental safe, Wi-Fi (included), and a terrace or balcony (D). Also bookable as a double room for single use (DE).

Double Room Superior

The superior double rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms but are larger, feature a bathtub and massage shower in the bathroom, a separate WC, and are mostly located on the 1st floor with a view of the pool or patio (DSU).

Junior Suite

The junior suites have the same facilities as the superior double rooms, but with a separate living room/bedroom (mostly consisting of two rooms, sometimes one room) (JS2).
(Additionally bookable under XRYA12 with JS2, as type B (J2B), or as a saver junior suite with separate availability (JSS) - all with a combined living/sleeping area (ONE room)).

Studio

Renovated in 2019, these cozy studios offer approximately 35-40 m² of space and include a shower or bathtub/WC, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), rental safe, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, sofa, and a balcony with seating (S12).

Family Junior Suite

The family junior suites have the same facilities as the double rooms, with a bedroom with two single beds, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, and a living room with two extra beds (FJ3).

Family Room (XRYA12)

The family rooms offer approx. 50 m² of space and are located on the ground floor. They feature a separate bedroom, a living/sleeping area with folding beds, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, bathroom or shower/WC, telephone, hairdryer, and a terrace (DF2).

Arrival by car

Directions from Jerez Airport (XRY):
After leaving the airport grounds, you will reach the A4. Now drive towards Jerez/Cadiz. Bypass the city of Jerez and reach the exit for Sanlucar/Chipiona after a few kilometers. After a few kilometers on the subsequent coastal road, you will see signs for Rota. Follow these signs and leave the coastal road at the Rota exit. Now drive in Rota towards "centro ciudad" (city center). You will reach the town center and your vacation hotel, Playa de la Luz. Travel time: approx. 30-45 minutes.
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
After leaving the airport grounds, you will reach the "A4/AP4". Always drive in the direction of "Cadiz". Bypass the city of Seville and reach the exit for Cadiz after about 10 km. Now take the "AP4" to Cadiz, which has a toll of about €6.
After 90 km, you will reach Jerez de la Frontera and exit the highway at the "Jerez/Aeropuerto" exit. Follow the signs for Aeropuerto until you reach the "A4" towards Cadiz. Now take the "A4" towards Cadiz and after about 15 km, leave it at the "Sanlucar/Chipiona" exit. After a few kilometers, you will see signs for Rota. Drive in Rota towards "centro ciudad" (city center); you will reach the town center and find your vacation hotel, "Playa de la Luz". Travel time: approx. 90 minutes.
Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport grounds and drive onto the N340 towards Cadiz. Follow this road until the A7 motorway exit for Algeciras/Cadiz. The A7 runs directly to Algeciras (approx. 100 km). Continue following the A7. On the way, you will repeatedly see signs for the AP7. This is the toll motorway, which you can also follow. Once you arrive in Algeciras, leave the A7 at the Jerez/Los Barrios exit. This motorway leads you directly to Jerez and ends there. Drive for 90 km to the end of the motorway, until it becomes a single-lane country road. After a few meters, leave the country road and take the AP4 towards Seville. Follow the AP4 for only a short distance, as you will leave the AP4 at the next exit, Jerez Norte/Aeropuerto, and drive towards Aeropuerto. Follow the signs until you reach the A4 towards Cadiz. Now take the A4 towards Cadiz and leave the motorway after approx. 15 km at the Sanlucar/Chipiona exit. After a few kilometers, you will see signs for Rota. Drive in Rota towards "centro ciudad" (city center); you will reach the town center and your vacation hotel, Playa de la Luz. Travel time: approx. 3 hours.
