Location

The Hotel Playa de la Luz, furnished in an Andalusian style, is located directly on the beach, nestled between pine forests and dunes, right next to the Los Corrales natural monument. The center of the beautiful town of Rota, with its restaurants, shops, and bars, is just approx. 2 km away.

Built in the style of a Spanish hacienda, the hotel has a total of 231 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with a reception, a souvenir shop (in high season), a buffet restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant, and a lounge. In the hotel's garden, there is a swimming pool (freshwater) with a separate children's pool, a sun terrace with a lawn for sunbathing, and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available here free of charge. From mid-June to mid-September, a chill-out bar, a beach bar, and the beach club (1x saltwater pool / 5.- € entrance fee per room per day, adults only) are available at the beach, weather permitting. Beach loungers are free except from June to September (approx. 6 € per day).

The double rooms are equipped with a shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, heating, air conditioning, minibar, Smart TV, rental safe, Wi-Fi (included), and a terrace or balcony (D). Also bookable as a double room for single use (DE).
(additionally bookable under XRYA12 (D/DBK/DB/DC), with 3 adults (DR), or super saver room with separate allocations (SSZ/SSE/SZC/SSR)).

Double room Superior

The Superior double rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms but are larger, feature a bathtub and massage shower in the bathroom, a separate WC, and are mostly located on the 1st floor with a view of the pool or patio (DSU).

Double room Terrace/Balcony

With the same facilities as the double rooms, but more spacious and with a balcony and terrace, these rooms are bookable from summer 2027 (DT2).

Double room Patio Gracia Lorca

The Patio Gracia Lorca double rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms, with a shower and a furnished terrace (DA).

Junior Suite

The junior suites have the same facilities as the Superior double rooms, but with a separate living/bedroom (mostly consist of two rooms, partly also of one room) (JS2).
(additionally bookable under XRYA12 with JS2, as Type B (J2B), or saver junior suite with separate allocations (JSS) - all with combined living/bedroom (ONE room)).

Studio

Renovated in 2019, these comfortable studios offer approx. 35-40 m² of space and also feature a shower or bathtub/WC, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), rental safe, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, sofa, and a balcony with seating (S12).

Family junior suite

The family junior suites have otherwise identical facilities to the double rooms, featuring a bedroom with two single beds, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, and a living room with two additional beds (FJ3)

The family rooms offer approx. 50 m² of space and are located on the ground floor. They feature a separate bedroom, a living/sleeping area with folding beds, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, bath or shower/WC, telephone, hairdryer, and terrace (DF2).
