Location

The historic country house hotel PortoBay Serra Golf is located in the picturesque town of "Santo da Serra". It is a small, charming estate surrounded by laurel forests that were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. In the surrounding area, you will find some of the most beautiful levadas on the island of Madeira. The "Santo da Serra" golf course is nearby. The center of "Santa Cruz" can be reached in about 10 minutes by car, and Funchal is approximately 25 km away. The distance to the airport is about 10 km.

The tastefully furnished country house "PortoBay Serra Golf" consists of a main building dating back to 1920, which is part of the region's architectural heritage, as well as an annex. Facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour front desk, a lounge with a fireplace, and the `Avó Micas` restaurant, Wi-Fi, a reading room with an LCD TV, a DVD and CD library, and a heated indoor pool with direct access to the garden area.

Accommodation

Double room

The double rooms are approx. 26m² in size, are located in the annex, and feature a shower or bathtub, WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, vanity mirror, Rituals brand toiletries, twin beds, air conditioning/heating, telephone, minibar (for a fee), smart TV, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea maker, and no balcony or terrace (D). In winter 2026/2027, also available for single use (DE).

Double room Superior

The Superior double rooms have the same features as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 38m²) and are located in the main building (DSU).

Breakfast (8 am – 10 am) served as a buffet with homemade specialties; dinner is a 3-course menu (7 pm – 9 pm).
