Location

The hotel Les Suites at the Cliff Bay is idyllically situated on the outskirts of Funchal, on a hillside above the bathing bay. A pebble beach is located about 1 km away. The center of Funchal with numerous shopping and entertainment facilities, restaurants and bars is about 2 km from the hotel. Funchal International Airport is about 17 km away.

The elegant and charming 5-star hotel of the PortoBay Hotel & Resort chain has a main building and an annex building, and a total of 23 luxurious suites. Facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour reception, lobby with seating areas, elevator, internet corner (included), luggage room, cinema room, library, games room, set menu restaurant, "Avista" restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants (for a fee, advance reservation required, partly in the sister hotel The Cliff Bay), 4 bars (partly in the sister hotel The Cliff Bay), a well-maintained outdoor area (usable depending on the weather) with a garden, sun terrace, infinity swimming pool (freshwater), outdoor whirlpool (freshwater) and infinity pool bar (open seasonally from 10:30 AM to 6 PM). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge in the pool area.

The Sea View Suites are approximately 60 m² in size and feature a bathroom made of Greek marble with a bathtub, separate shower cubicle, double washbasin, toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror and "Bvlgari" amenities, a separate bedroom with a double bed or two single beds/twin beds (separated by a sliding door), a living room with sleeping possibilities, a desk, a seating area, air conditioning (seasonal), heating (seasonal), safe (included), minibar (water and soft drinks included, otherwise for a fee), telephone, 2 Smart TVs (each 49-inch Smart TV with HDMI and USB connection), Wi-Fi (included), bathrobe, slippers, tea/coffee maker, coffee machine, pillow menu, microwave (on request) and a balcony of approx. 17 m² (furnished) with sea view (S2M/S1M/S3M).

Sea View Suite with Garden

With otherwise similar amenities to the Sea View Suites, these offer a small private garden with two sun loungers and a parasol (SA/1SA/SA3).

Duplex Sea View Suite

With also similar amenities to the Sea View Suites, these offer a living area with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom on the upper floor. These rooms thus extend over 2 floors and the two levels are connected by a staircase (IX2/IX1/S2X/2SB).
