The Hotel Porto Mare offers its guests the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The hotel has 198 rooms, an elevator, a buffet restaurant, three à la carte restaurants, various bars, and four conference rooms. In the spacious garden, there are two freshwater swimming pools with a separate children's pool and a pool bar. Sun loungers, bath towels, and parasols are included by the pool. All facilities at the Suite Hotel Eden Mar and The Residence resort can be used.

The rooms (approx. 30-35 sqm) are comfortably and modernly furnished and feature a bath/WC, hairdryer, vanity mirror, bathrobe, safe (free of charge), Smart TV, telephone, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea-making facilities, air conditioning, and a balcony (D). Also bookable for single occupancy (DE). Available with a sea view and for single occupancy at an extra charge (DM/DEM).

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are renovated and feature a minibar stocked with water and soft drinks (filled once upon arrival) as well as a Nespresso machine and a welcome gift (DMU).
Bookable for single occupancy at an extra charge (DME).
Also bookable as Double room Superior Sea view Type O with limited availability and at a special price (UMO).

Junior suite side sea view

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are approx. 56 sqm and additionally feature a separate bedroom (sliding door) as well as a kitchenette with a stove, a refrigerator stocked with water and soft drinks (filled once upon arrival), a Nespresso machine, microwave, welcome gift, and a side sea view (J2S).

Zusatzhinweis

Star tour excursion program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover the most beautiful panoramas of Madeira on this half-day tour. From the Pico dos Barcelos height, you can overlook the bay of Funchal, and the tour continues to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down to the floor of an extinct volcano. At the very bottom lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nun's Valley). Continue to Monte, where you will visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional toboggan sleds. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village, where the famous Espada – black scabbardfish – is caught). The tour continues via Cabo Girão (highest cliff in Europe at 580m), and then the route leads along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta do Sol, it goes upwards to the Pául da Serra plateau (1400m). Finally, it goes downhill to Porto Moniz to the natural seawater swimming pools. The lunch break is taken here. The return journey is via the north coast and leads through Seixal to São Vicente. From there, it goes up over the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see the north and south coasts simultaneously. Afterward, return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). Then it goes downhill to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the middle of Madeira's laurel forest (Laurisilva), which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The journey continues to Santana, which is known for its straw-roofed houses. The lunch break is taken here. Afterward, it goes to Pico do Facho. Afterward, return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion takes us after an approx. 1.5-hour Levada hike (difficulty level: easy) to the Botanical Garden, which is famous for its approximately 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and guided tour included).
