The Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden hotel is idyllically situated amidst a magnificent botanical garden of over 30,000 m² with old subtropical trees and more than 1,000 different plant species, inviting you to stroll and relax. From here, there is also a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. The town of Caniço with restaurants, a bank, post office, and shops is in the immediate vicinity. There is a regular bus connection to Funchal (approx. 8 km).

The beautiful adults-friendly complex (from 13 years old) consists of a historic manor house (Quinta), which has been restored and redesigned with great attention to detail, as well as several low-rise residential buildings embedded in the botanical garden. The hotel with a total of 166 accommodation units (80 studios, 41 apartments, 20 double rooms and 25 spa suites) has a reception with guest PC (free internet access), Wi-Fi (free throughout the hotel), the main restaurant "Galeria" (buffet and à la carte), gourmet restaurant "La Perla" (in the historic manor house) and "Thai Lounge" with Asian and Thai fusion cuisine. The outdoor area features a large freshwater swimming pool with a sun terrace, pool/snackbar, and sun loungers and umbrellas (included).

Double Room Wellness Garden View

With the same amenities as the double room garden view, guests in the double room wellness garden view (DWB) enjoy 3 free spa entries (for stays of 7-13 nights) or 6 free spa entries (for stays of 14-21 nights). The days on which the free spa entry is redeemed are booked upon arrival at the reception, subject to availability (treatments, bathrobes/slippers & tea for a fee).

Studio Garden View

The comfortably equipped studios with garden view (2SG) are approx. 30 m² in size, equipped with a combined living/sleeping area (2 beds or double bed), bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, kitchenette, refrigerator, heating, telephone, rental safe (for a fee), satellite TV, and a balcony or terrace with its own small garden.
Studio with partial sea view (M2S) bookable for an additional charge, these are located on the ground floor and 1st floor. The view from the ground floor is partially restricted by plants.
Also bookable as a studio garden view for single use (1SG) or studio partial sea view for single use (M1S) for an additional charge.

Studio Partial Sea View

The apartments with partial sea view (2AS) have the same amenities as the studios but are larger (approx. 52 m²) and additionally equipped with a separate bedroom (separated from the living area, sometimes only visually) and a partial sea view. The apartments can be booked with children aged 13 and over.

Suite Sea View incl. Spa

Spa Suite (S2S): The spa suites include daily free entry to the hotel's spa (without treatments). The very spacious suites, measuring approx. 80-115 m², are modern and brightly furnished. In addition to a large bathroom with a toilet and hairdryer, the suite has a king-size bed, 42-inch LED TV, minibar (for a fee) and safe. Bathrobes, towels, and slippers are included for you here. Furthermore, the spa suites have a large balcony or terrace and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows offering a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. At breakfast, you dine in the "Galeria" restaurant with buffet and menu; with half board, you automatically participate in the resort's dine-around concept and dine in one of the restaurants (3-course menu). The occupancy of the spa suites is reserved for adults aged 16 and over.
Also bookable as Spa Suite Type I (ISU) at a special price and with a limited contingent.

B&B/HB

Breakfast buffet and dinner as a buffet (vegetables and fruits partly from own cultivation). Guests of the spa suites receive the option to dine in the hotel restaurants free of charge with HB booking (3-course à la carte menu, by prior reservation). Guests of other room categories receive a special discount in the à la carte restaurants (only when booking HB).
For HB guests, a festive flower festival dinner with house drinks is included for the Flower Festival on May 2nd, 2026.
