Location

The Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden hotel is idyllically situated amidst a magnificent botanical garden of over 30,000 m², featuring old subtropical trees and more than 1,000 different plant species, inviting guests to stroll and relax. From here, you also enjoy a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The town of Caniço, with its restaurants, bank, post office, and shops, is in the immediate vicinity. There is a public bus connection to Funchal (approx. 8 km).

This beautiful adults-friendly complex (13 years and older) consists of a historic mansion (Quinta), which has been lovingly restored and redesigned, as well as several low-rise buildings nestled within the botanical garden. The hotel, with a total of 166 accommodation units (80 studios, 41 apartments, 20 double rooms, and 25 spa suites), features a reception with a guest PC (free internet access), Wi-Fi (free throughout the hotel), the main restaurant "Galeria" (buffet and à la carte), gourmet restaurant "La Perla" (in the historic mansion), and "Thai Lounge" offering Asian and Thai fusion cuisine. The outdoor area includes a large freshwater swimming pool with a sun terrace, a pool/snackbar, and loungers and umbrellas (included).

Double room, wellness garden view

With the same amenities as the Double Room Garden View, guests in the Double Room Wellness Garden View (DWB) enjoy 3 free spa entries (for stays of 7-13 nights) or 6 free spa entries (for stays of 14-21 nights). The days on which the free spa entry is redeemed must be booked at reception upon arrival, subject to availability (treatments, bathrobes/slippers & tea at an additional charge).

Studio, garden view

The comfortably furnished Studios Garden View (2SG) are approx. 30 sqm, equipped with a combined living/sleeping area (2 beds or double bed), bath or shower/toilet, hairdryer, kitchenette, refrigerator, heating, telephone, rental safe (for a fee), satellite TV, and a balcony or terrace with its own small garden.
Studio with partial sea view (M2S) bookable for an additional charge, these are located on the ground floor and the first floor. The view from the ground floor may be partially obstructed by plants.
Also available as a Studio Garden View for single occupancy (1SG) or Studio with partial sea view for single occupancy (M1S) for an additional charge.

Apartment, partial sea view

The Apartments with partial sea view (2AS) have the same amenities as the studios but are larger (approx. 52 sqm) and additionally feature a separate bedroom (partially only visually separated from the living area) and a partial sea view. Apartments can be booked for children aged 13 and over.

Suite, sea view incl. spa

Spa Suite (S2S): The Spa Suites include daily free access to the hotel's own spa (excluding treatments). The very spacious suites, measuring approximately 80-115 sqm, are modernly and pleasantly furnished. In addition to a large bathroom with a toilet and hairdryer, the suite features a king-size bed, a 42-inch LED TV, minibar (for a fee), and a safe. Bathrobes, towels, and slippers are included. Furthermore, the Spa Suites have a large balcony or terrace and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows offering spectacular views of the Atlantic. Breakfast is served in the "Galeria" restaurant with buffet and menu options; with half board, you automatically participate in the resort's dine-around concept and enjoy dinner in one of the restaurants (3-course menu). Occupancy of Spa Suites is reserved for guests aged 16 and over.
Also available as Spa Suite Type I (ISU) at a special price and with limited availability.

Breakfast/Half Board

Buffet breakfast and dinner (some vegetables and fruits are from own cultivation). Guests of the Spa Suites with half board bookings have the option to dine in the hotel restaurants free of charge (3-course à la carte menu, reservation required). Guests in other room categories receive a special discount in the à la carte restaurants (only with half board booking).
For half board guests, a festive flower festival dinner with house drinks is included on May 2nd, 2026.
