Location

The Hotel Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is idyllically situated in the middle of a magnificent, over 30,000 m² botanical garden featuring mature subtropical trees and more than 1,000 different plant species, inviting guests to walk and relax. From here, there is also a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The town of Caniço, with its restaurants, bank, post office, and shopping facilities, is in the immediate vicinity. There is a scheduled bus connection to Funchal (approx. 8 km).

This beautiful, adults-friendly complex (ages 13 and up) consists of a historic manor house (Quinta), which has been lovingly restored and redesigned, as well as several low-rise residential buildings embedded in the botanical garden. The hotel, with a total of 166 units (80 studios, 41 apartments, 20 double rooms, and 25 spa suites), features a reception with guest PC (free internet access), Wi-Fi (free of charge throughout the hotel), the main restaurant "Galeria" (buffet and à la carte), the gourmet restaurant "La Perla" (in the historic manor house), and the "Thai-Lounge" serving Asian and Thai fusion cuisine. In the outdoor area, there is a large freshwater swimming pool with a sun terrace, a pool/snack bar, as well as loungers and parasols (included).

Double Room Wellness Garden View

With the same amenities as the Double Room Garden View, guests in the Double Rooms Wellness Garden View (DWB) enjoy 3 free spa entries (for stays of 7–13 nights) or 6 free spa entries (for stays of 14–21 nights). The days on which the free spa entry is used are booked upon arrival at reception, subject to availability (treatments, bathrobes/slippers & tea for a fee).

Studio Garden View

The comfortably equipped Studios Garden View (2SG) are approx. 30 m² and are equipped with a combined living/bedroom (2 beds or double bed), bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, kitchenette with toaster, refrigerator, heating, telephone, safe (incl.), satellite TV, as well as a balcony or terrace with its own small garden.
Studio with Partial Sea View (M2S) can be booked for an extra charge; these are located on the ground floor and the 1st floor. The view from the ground floor is partially restricted by plants.

Apartment Partial Sea View

The Apartments Partial Sea View (2AS) feature the same amenities as the studios but are larger (approx. 52 m²) and additionally equipped with a microwave in the kitchenette, a separate bedroom (separated from the living area, in some cases only visually), and a partial sea view.

Suite Sea View incl. Spa

Spa Suite (S2S): The Spa Suites include daily free entry to the hotel's own spa (excluding treatments). At approx. 80–115 m², these very spacious suites are modern and comfortably furnished. In addition to a large bathroom with WC and hairdryer, the suite features a king-size bed, 65-inch LED TV, minibar (for a fee), espresso machine with daily free replenishment, and a safe (incl.). Bathrobes, towels, and slippers are included here for you. Furthermore, the Spa Suites have a large balcony or terrace as well as floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, which offer a spectacular view over the Atlantic. At breakfast, you dine in the "Galeria" restaurant with buffet and menu; with half-board, you automatically participate in the resort's dine-around concept and dine in one of the restaurants (3-course menu). Occupancy of the Spa Suites is reserved for adults aged 16 and over.

BB/HB

Breakfast buffet and dinner as a buffet (vegetables and fruits are partly from own cultivation). When booking HB, Spa Suite guests have the opportunity to dine in the hotel restaurants free of charge (3-course à la carte menu, by prior arrangement). Guests of other room categories receive a special discount in the à la carte restaurants (only when booking HB).
Winter 26/27: For HB guests, a festive Easter dinner with house beverages is included on March 28, 2027.
