Location

The hotel is built in a breathtaking, quiet location on a rocky plateau above a small natural bay. The well-known "Garajau" underwater nature reserve begins right in front of the hotel. Caniço de Baixo is located on the route between the airport and the capital Funchal, which can be reached by car in approx. 15 minutes (approx. 12 km away). Several bus connections run daily. The main town of Caniço can be reached on foot in approx. 20 minutes (approx. 2.5 km away). The golf courses of Madeira are 9 or 15 km away.

The small complex has a total of 52 rooms spread across 2 buildings. The hotel facilities include a central reception in the neighboring hotel Royal Orchid, elevator (3rd-5th floor), Wi-Fi (included in the hotel areas lobby, bars, restaurants and in the rooms), à la carte restaurant, bar, and an outdoor freshwater swimming pool (sun loungers and 1 bath towel per person per stay included). There is direct access to the sea (via stairs) at the Rocamar hotel, and the outdoor pool, indoor pool, and sauna of the Royal Orchid can also be used.

Studios

Tastefully furnished studios, with bath or shower/toilet, kitchenette (with microwave, kettle, toaster and 2 hot plates), rental safe (for a fee), air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included) and balcony or terrace. The rooms have a view of houses (S12). Can be booked as a studio for single occupancy (S11). Studio with sea view (SM2) can be booked for an extra charge, as well as studio with sea view for single occupancy (SM1). Also bookable as a studio with sea view type O with a limited quota and at a special price (SOM).

Junior Suite Sea View

The slightly larger junior suites have the same amenities as the studios with a combined living and sleeping area and can accommodate up to 3 people (J2M).

Senior Suite

The Senior Suites have the same amenities as the studios, but with a separate bedroom and sea view (MM2).

Breakfast (7:30-10:30 am), lunch (12:30-3:00 pm) and dinner (6:00-9:30 pm) in buffet style/menu (depending on occupancy). Soft drinks, various juices, mineral water, coffee, tea, beer, sparkling wine, white, red and rosé wine are served with meals. Snack selection such as mini sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, ice cream, various juices, coffee and tea from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Selection of local non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages such as vodka, gin, brandy, whisky, regional liqueurs, red, white and rosé wine, sparkling wine, sangria, draft beer, soft drinks, coffee, tea and cocoa (11:00 am - 12:00 am).
