Location

The hotel is located directly on the sea in Caniço de Baixo. Separated from the rocky/stone coast only by the promenade (direct access from the pool area). Numerous entertainment and shopping facilities are nearby. Caniço is approx. 3 km away, and Funchal can be reached after about 14 km. Public bus connections are available in front of the hotel.

The non-smoking hotel has a total of 212 rooms spread over 8 floors, a large lobby, Wi-Fi (included), shops, elevator, games room (snooker and billiards), library, main and à la carte restaurants, bars, hairdresser, smoking area, beauty salon, spa, indoor pool, and a heated whirlpool. Outside, there is a heated seawater pool, children's pool, pool/snackbar (small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating), and sunbathing terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge to hotel guests in the pool area. Fitness area is available both indoors and outdoors.

Double Room with Side Sea View

The very spacious double rooms with side sea view (DMS), measuring approx. 20 sqm, have a shower, toilet, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, Wi-Fi (included), minibar, rental safe, kettle, and a balcony with side sea view.
Double rooms with sea view (DM) can be booked for an additional charge (these rooms all have a balcony).
They can also be booked for single use at an additional charge (DES, DEM).
Also bookable as Young Traveller Room (YTR) for guests aged 18 to 19.
From Winter 25/26, also bookable as Double Room with Side Sea View Type O (SDO) or Double Room with Sea View Type O (DMO).

Superior Double Room Sea View

Located on the 1st-2nd floor, the Superior Double Rooms Sea View (DMU) measuring approx. 25 sqm, have the same amenities as the double rooms with balcony, feature a direct sea view, a sofa bed for a 3rd person, toiletries in the bathroom (bathtub and shower), a bathrobe, and free internet access (Wi-Fi). Guests in these room categories also have reserved loungers by the pool and exclusive access to the new lounge. From Winter 25/26, also bookable as a Superior Double Room for single use (DME).
When booking at least 7 nights, a tea time with herbs from the hotel's own herb garden is included per person/stay.
Additionally included: Free use of the lounge on the 2nd floor of the hotel with sofas, tables, chairs, Wi-Fi, daily international newspapers, magazines, books, 1 computer with printer, coffee and tea making facilities, and local non-alcoholic beverages, as well as 2 dinners per week in the à la carte restaurant when booking half board.

Studio Sea View

The Studios Sea View (SM2) have the same amenities as the standard double rooms, but also include a kitchenette, sea view, and are approximately 25 sqm.
From Winter 25/26, also bookable as Studio Sea View Type O (SOM).

Apartment Sea View

The Apartments Sea View (2AM) have a combined living/sleeping area with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom, kitchenette, and sea view. Otherwise, they are equipped like the double rooms with side sea view, with a room size of approx. 34 sqm.

Double Room Sea View Type I

While otherwise equipped like the Double Rooms Sea View, these have a special price and a limited quota. The Double Rooms Sea View Type I can only be booked with half board (available in Winter 24/25). Room size approx. 17-20 sqm.

Studio (FNCA07)

While otherwise similar in amenities to the Studio Sea View, these offer ONLY side sea view (S12/S11/K12).

Junior Suite Sea View (FNCA07)

These spacious junior suites offer, with otherwise similar amenities to the double rooms, more space, a small kitchenette, a living/sleeping area, and a separate bedroom (JMA/J1M/J2M/J3M). Room size approx. 34 sqm.

Family Room (FNCA07)

The Family Rooms (DF3, DF4) are similar in amenities to the Junior Suites, also offering a kitchenette and a separate bedroom, but are larger at approx. 57 sqm.
