Location

The Pestana Churchill Bay hotel is located directly by the sea, in the central town/city center of Camara de Lobos. In close proximity is the small harbor of the picturesque fishing village, surrounded by the colorful houses of the town. Restaurants, bars, and cafes are just a few minutes' walk away. The well-known cliff "Cabo Girão" is approx. 6.5 km away. Funchal can be reached in approx. 15 minutes by car (approx. 8 km distance). Madeira Airport is approx. 26 km away.

Every year between the end of June and the beginning of July, a traditional folk festival (Festas de São Pedro) takes place, and in mid-August, the Black Swordfish Gastronomic Festival is held. During the festivals, the entire town can become a bit livelier, with various program events, including music, continuing into the late evening.
