Location

Beach holiday in Madeira! The popular hotel is located next to a small marina, directly on the golden sandy beach (man-made) of Calheta. A rarity in Madeira, as only a few hotels on this beautiful island offer direct access to a sandy beach. The town is about a 10-minute walk away (1 km). Funchal is approx. 35 km away, and Madeira's International Airport is about a 40-minute drive (approx. 50 km) from the hotel. We recommend booking a car (EDV code: FNC012A) to comfortably explore the island.

The beach hotel has a total of 153 rooms and suites for your well-being, spread across two buildings and 5 floors. In addition to a reception area with Wi-Fi (included in public areas), lounges, 2 elevators, and 3 bars, the hotel offers a buffet restaurant with show cooking, an à la carte restaurant 'Onda Azul', and the 'Local Beach Restaurant'. In the outdoor area, you will find a landscaped sun terrace with a swimming pool and a children's pool (umbrellas, loungers/cushions, and 1st bath towel included; change for a fee). Beach loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee.

Double Room

The approx. 22.5 sqm tastefully decorated double rooms (D) have a bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe (rental fee), minibar (for a fee), and a furnished balcony. Double rooms with sea view (DM) can be booked for an additional charge. All double rooms are located in the main building. Maximum 2 adults can be accommodated.
Double rooms for single use (DE) and double rooms with sea view for single use (DEM) can also be booked for an additional charge.
Additionally bookable as double room with sea view type A (DMA, single occupancy AME in Summer 25) including All Inclusive meal plan.

Superior Suite Sea View

The Superior Sea View Suites (SUM) are located in the main building and have the same amenities as the double rooms, but are significantly more spacious (approx. 60 sqm) and feature a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a separate toilet, a living area with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom, a coffee/tea maker, and a large balcony with a direct sea view.

Suite

The Suites (S2) have the same amenities as the double rooms but are larger and feature a living area with an open kitchenette, a separate bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, and a balcony.
Suites with side sea view (MS2) or Suites with sea view (S2M) can be booked for an additional charge. The suites and suites with side sea view are located in a separate building behind the main building (connected by a corridor).

Family Suite (FNCA03)

The cozy and approx. 44 sqm family suites feature a combined living and sleeping area, shower/toilet, TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe (rental fee), minibar (for a fee), and balcony (2FS,KFS,3FS.KF3). Also available for an additional charge with side sea view (FSS) or sea view ((2FM)).

HB+

All meals are served buffet style. Half a bottle of wine or a beer or a soft drink, as well as water and coffee or tea are included with dinner.

Snacks at the Calheta restaurant from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 2:30 PM to 6 PM (sandwiches, pastries, and hot drinks). Dinner from 6 PM to 9 PM. Selected national alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 10 AM to 11 PM at the open bar (Bar Por Do Sol or Rabacal Bar). Premium drinks available for a fee. À la carte restaurants 'Onda Azul' (included daily, reservation required at reception) and 'Local Beach Restaurant' (included twice weekly, reservation required at reception). The restaurant 'Alambique' (at Hotel Saccharum, credit applied to final bill) is also available with reservation (24 hours in advance).
