Location

The charming village of Tux, nestled at the foot of the Hintertux Glacier, impresses with its tranquil location, multifaceted offerings, and special flair. Your holiday destination also boasts a wide selection of eateries and cozy bars. Explore the culinary side of your holiday region by visiting local establishments (e.g., ErlebnisSennerei Zillertal in Mayrhofen, approx. 14.2 km away). Enjoy a refreshing dip at the Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen indoor pool, 21 km away. Immerse yourself in the wonderful landscape with extensive hikes or on a mountain bike.
In winter, a free ski bus with a stop right at the hotel will take you to the nearest lift. The Lanersbach and Hintertux Glacier ski areas are easily accessible. A practice lift for beginners is approximately 1 km away, and the cross-country ski trail starts right outside the hotel.

Facilities

The Hotel Höhlenstein, partially renovated in 2021, offers 28 units in total, including a welcoming lobby with seating areas, a reception, and an e-bike charging station. Indulge in culinary delights at the restaurant and in a traditional parlor. You can end an eventful day of your holiday in good company at the hotel bar. Furthermore, a conservatory and a terrace are available for relaxation. Cyclists can make use of the hotel's lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

The spacious rooms, furnished in a regional style, feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, radio, seating area, shower or bath, WC, hairdryer, kettle, coffee and tea making facilities, a double bed, and a balcony (DSU, approx. 22 sqm).

Meals begin with dinner on the day of arrival and end with breakfast on the day of departure.
