Location

The idyllic village of Niederau, a district of Wildschönau, impresses with its quiet location. Your holiday resort offers plenty of space to truly unwind during your vacation. Get to know your holiday region from its culinary side as well and visit local establishments in the village (e.g., Schaukäserei Holzalm Kasalm). The "Bergbauernmuseum Z'Bach" (Mountain Farmer Museum), about 2 km away, is also highly recommended. As soon as winter arrives, Niederau reveals its winter splendor. The main focus is naturally on winter sports, thanks to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area located directly in the village, with a total piste length of around 109 km.
Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau Ski Area: Altitude: approx. 650-2,025 m The 5 villages of Auffach, Niederau, Oberau, Alpbach, and Reith together form the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area, and only one ski pass is needed for all villages. This winter sports area, particularly popular with families, offers perfectly groomed pistes, freeriding opportunities, a race course, and practice lifts for beginners. Fun and games await the little ones in the JUPPI-DO children's area at the valley station. But it's not just skiers who get their money's worth here, as the area is considered a cross-country skiing paradise with approximately 50 km of classic cross-country ski trails. Various refreshment stops near the slopes offer warming drinks and food. 2 snow parks and a toboggan run also promise a lot of fun.

The 4-star Harmony Hotel Sonnschein offers a welcoming reception hall with seating and a fireplace, as well as a reception desk, in addition to its 142 accommodation units. Your accommodation consists of a main building and a new building, both connected. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the restaurant. You can round off an eventful day of vacation in good company at the hotel bar or at the public bar located approximately 150 m away. Cyclists can use the hotel's own, lockable bicycle storage room. A ski and snowboard storage room with a ski boot dryer is available for your winter sports equipment. Smoking is not permitted in the entire hotel area.
