Shopping facilities can be found in the Stadtgalerien Schwaz shopping center, about 19 km away. In addition, there are some interesting day trip destinations in the vicinity of Fügen waiting for your visit. Particularly recommended are Innsbruck (approx. 50 km away), the Tratzberg Castle (approx. 14.2 km away), the local history museum and the Erlebnistherme Zillertal. Immerse yourself in the wonderful landscape by bike or on extensive hikes past lush meadows. Well-marked hiking trails offer the optimal conditions for this. The area can also be wonderfully explored on horseback or while Nordic walking. Especially in summer, you can combine nature experience and sporting activity in and around Fügen by swimming at the Schlitterer See lake (approx. 5 km away) or in the outdoor pool (in the village). It's also sporty to go climbing. Improve your handicap while golfing or play a game of minigolf. Spend an eventful day at the Zell am Ziller leisure park (approx. 15.5 km). Visit the Alpine Zoo Innsbruck (approx. 47 km).
In winter, the accommodation is particularly suitable for alpine skiers and offers you the opportunity for extensive winter hikes. A free ski bus (according to the timetable on site) will take you directly to the Hochfügen & Hochzillertal ski area. The ski bus stop is located directly at the hotel. A practice lift is available for ski beginners (approx. 10 m away). The Spieljochbahn cable car is only about 10 m from the hotel. The total cross-country ski trail length is about 5 km, the nearest cross-country ski trail is about 1 km away. The Hotel Kohlerhof, partially renovated in 2021 and rated 4 stars, offers 158 units, a welcoming lobby with seating, a reception, a lounge, a wine cellar, and an e-car charging station. Your accommodation consists of a main building and several annexes, with the main and annex buildings connected underground and about 15 m apart. Enjoy culinary delights in the à la carte restaurant, another restaurant, and a "Stüberl" (traditional dining room). You can end an eventful day at the hotel bar or in the public bar "PizzPub" located within the hotel. Additionally, a terrace (also usable in winter) and a garden are available for relaxation. Cyclists can use the hotel's lockable bicycle storage room. For your winter sports equipment, there is a lockable ski and snowboard storage room accessible from the hotel and a heated ski boot room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Seasonal information

Ski area:
The winter sports area, particularly popular with families, with its wide slopes extends to a snow-sure altitude and is suitable for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages. It features practice lifts for beginners, a race course, and various snow-making facilities. With floodlights switched on, the slopes can also be enjoyed at night. Of course, after a long day of skiing, there are also various options for enjoyable après-ski. A toboggan run promises a lot of fun.
