Location

Spend a relaxing yet sport-active holiday in Kaprun. The non-smoking hotel Das Alpenhaus Kaprun (altitude approx. 786 m) is located directly in the town centre. Cafés, restaurants, and shops are right next to the hotel. You can reach the nearest attraction (high mountain reservoirs) in approx. 9 km. In Zell am See, about 7 km away, the picturesque Lake Zeller awaits all water lovers. There is a golf course about 3 km from the hotel. Entertaining hours also await you about 1.7 km away at the Tauern Spa thermal baths with indoor and outdoor pools.
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. A hiking bus (for a fee) takes you to the directly adjacent Kitzsteinhorn hiking area. The hiking bus stop is approx. 50 m away. You can also reach the Maiskogel cable car in just approx. 200 m. On a cycle path located directly at the hotel, you can get active and enjoy the landscape at the same time.

Arrival by car

From Munich, drive towards Salzburg/Innsbruck, continue on the A8 motorway towards Innsbruck/Kufstein until the Kufstein-Süd exit. At the roundabout, take the second exit and follow the B178 towards St. Johann in Tirol/Felbertauern until Kitzbühel. Over the Paß Thurn, you reach Mittersill in the province of Salzburg. Follow the signs towards Zell am See; after approx. 24 km, you will reach Kaprun.
Once in Kaprun, drive straight ahead towards the centre (Sigmund-Thurn-Straße) and turn left into Schloßstraße after approx. 300 metres. After approx. 30 metres, the hotel is on the right-hand side.
