Location

The resort of Bad Hofgastein impresses with its diverse design possibilities. Bad Hofgastein also offers plenty of space to truly unwind during your vacation. Additionally, the surroundings of Bad Hofgastein offer several interesting destinations for day trips. The Alpentherme (approx. 500m) and the center with its cafes, restaurants, and shops (approx. 350m) are particularly recommended. The Schlossalmbahn cable car is about 3 km away. There is a connection to Bad Hofgastein train station (approx. 6 km).

Facilities

The 4-star Johannesbad Hotel Palace offers a lobby with a fireplace, a reception, a lounge, and an approximately 30,000 m² hotel park with walking paths, in addition to its 198 accommodation units. The accommodation consists of a main building and an annex. The hotel offers a diverse culinary experience with its two restaurants, "Wiener Saal" and "Parkrestaurant," as well as the two parlors, "Zirbenstüberl" and "Salzburgerstüberl." You can round off an eventful day of vacation in good company at the hotel bar "Palace" or at the public bar "Piccolo," located about 500 m from the hotel. The panorama lounge offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountain scenery. The Vitaloase with its indoor pool provides maximum relaxation.

Double Room Kuschelzimmer

The double rooms are approx. 18m² in size and offer a double bed, a seating area, a desk, a balcony, a safe (free of charge), and heating. They also include a TV, telephone, and Wi-Fi. The bathroom is equipped with a shower/toilet, hairdryer, and bathrobe (free of charge) (D).

Double Room Comfort

The Comfort Rooms are more spacious (approx. 26m²) and, in addition to the double bed, offer 2 extra beds. The bathroom has a bathtub or shower. Otherwise, the amenities are similar (DKO).

Single Room Comfort

The rooms for 1 adult are similar to the Double Rooms Comfort but are smaller (approx. 18m²) and have a single bed (EKO).

Information

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1, 2025, there will be a new levy, the "Mobility Tax." The fee will be collected concurrently with the local tax per overnight stay and will contribute to the expansion of transportation. In return, all guests will receive free use of public transport in the resort. The levy must be paid regardless of public transport usage.
- The Mobility Tax is a legally anchored levy and must be paid for all chargeable overnight stays.
- From May 1, 2025: €0.50, with gradual increases, from May 1, 2027: €1.10.
