Location

The 4-star hotel is located in the picturesque Katschberg-Rennweg family region, directly on the main Tauern ridge at an altitude of 1600m, on the border between Carinthia and Salzburg. This privileged location makes the hotel an ideal starting point for nature lovers and active vacationers who want to enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. In the immediate vicinity are the two national parks "Carinthian Nockberge" and "Hohe Tauern". Whether hiking or mountain biking, the surrounding area offers countless opportunities to discover nature. The hotel is located just about 100 meters from the center with restaurants, bars, and shops, allowing guests to quickly reach the region's amenities.

The hotel Das Katschberg has 65 comfortable, modernly furnished rooms. Further amenities include a lounge, a restaurant, and a cozy bar.
A lift provides additional comfort, as does a sun terrace with loungers and parasols (subject to availability), which invites you to relax in the mountain sun.

Bergkristall Double Room

The Bergkristall Double Room (D, approx. 28m²) offers a cozy ambiance. It features a bath or shower, a separate toilet, a hairdryer, satellite TV, a safe, and a sofa bed. Some rooms have a balcony.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2, approx. 28-32m²) are equipped with a double bed and a sofa bed and some offer a freestanding bathtub. Otherwise, they have the same equipment elements as the double rooms and a balcony.

Deluxe Apartment

The spacious Deluxe Apartment (D2A, approx. 45-60m²) features modern decor and two separate double bedrooms. The bathroom is spacious and features a shower and a separate toilet. It also offers a balcony, telephone, radio, and cable TV.

The elegant "Katschberg" Suites (S2, approx. 46m²-50m²) consist of a bedroom and a separate living room with a pull-out couch. The bathroom is equipped with a shower; there is a separate toilet and a balcony.

* KatschbergCard included (opening hours partly weather-dependent or subject to service changes): 1x per stay use of the Grosseckbahn Mauterndorf, Sonnenbahn Speiereck, Katschbergbahn, and Fanningbergbahnen mountain lifts. 1x per stay admission to Mauterndorf Castle, Badeinsel Tamsweg with giant slide, outdoor pool St. Michael, outdoor pool Maria Pfarr, outdoor pool Rennweg, adventure pool Mauterndorf, admission to various museums, admission to Familypark Smarty-Land Mauterndorf, Outdoorpark/Waterpark Lungau, Eselpark Maltatal as well as mini-golf in Mauterndorf, St. Michael and Tamsweg. 1x per stay ride on the E-Tschu-Tschu train and the Maria Pfarr steam train. Once per stay pony riding at the Ponyalm as well as a guided hike.
