The family-friendly Katrin hotel complex is located only approx. 250 m from the beautiful sandy beach of Stalis (separated only by a coastal road) and approx. 200 m from the center. The center of Chersonissos with numerous shopping and entertainment facilities is approx. 4 km away, and a public bus stop is approx. 150 m away. Heraklion Airport is approx. 30 km away.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel has 118 accommodation units, spread across a main building and several outbuildings. Amenities include a reception hall with a 24-hour reception, a lounge, Wi-Fi in all public areas (included), the main bar "Dionissos", and the buffet restaurant "Ambrosia". The outdoor area offers various pool areas with an activity pool with a separate children's splash pool and, in the adult area (18+), a relaxation pool and a whirlpool, various sun terraces with loungers and umbrellas (included), as well as the pool bars "Posidon" and "Sunshine". For summer 2024, further parts of the outdoor area have been modernized and re-furnished, and the main bar and main restaurant have also been modernized. Bath towels are available for a fee. Loungers and umbrellas are available at the beach for a fee.

These double rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, telephone, mini-fridge, safe for rent, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DA).

Superior Double Room

The Superior Double Rooms are located in the main building and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, telephone, mini-fridge, safe for rent, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DSU/SSX).
Also available for single occupancy (DSE/DAE) or as a Superior Economy Room (2US).

Superior Double Room with Whirlpool

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these rooms have been renovated, are located in the outbuildings, and additionally feature a ceiling fan and a whirlpool (J2N).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for careful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Superior Double Room Plunge Pool

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these rooms have been renovated, are located in the outbuildings, and additionally feature a ceiling fan and a plunge pool (DPL/DAB).
The plunge pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for careful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Family Room

These rooms are mostly located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, 2 Smart TVs, telephone, mini-fridge, safe for rent, a combined living/sleeping area (open plan) with an additional bunk bed, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DF2/JSF).

These rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, are identically equipped as the Family Rooms, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, 2 Smart TVs, telephone, mini-fridge, safe for rent, a combined living/sleeping area (open plan) with an additional bunk bed, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (JL2/JSF).

Family Suite

These rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, and are more spacious than the Family Rooms with a 2nd Smart TV, ceiling fan, and an additional separate bedroom with a bunk bed (2FS/2ZA).

Suite schauinsland-reisen

These rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, are identically equipped as the Family Suites, and are more spacious than the Family Rooms with a 2nd Smart TV, ceiling fan, and an additional separate bedroom with a bunk bed (2SI/2ZA).

Superior Family Suite

The Superior Family Suite offers, with the same amenities and size as the Family Suite, sleeping arrangements for up to 3 people in the separate bedroom (2FF).

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10:00 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM) and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) served buffet style, snacks during the day (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM), ice cream for children only (12:00 PM - 3:30 PM), and coffee/tea and pastries (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM). Soft drinks, beer, and house wine are included with meals. Local non-alcoholic drinks and selected local alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, ouzo, brandy, and raki) are included at the open bar from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, local vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, and tequila are also included. Additionally, the cocktail of the day is included from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
