Location

The Enorme Santanna Island lives up to its name, as it is truly an island of tranquility. The hotel is located in the town of Sissi, only approx. 300 meters from the nearest beach and offers spectacular views of the Cretan Sea. The tranquil town center, with its selection of restaurants and bars, is just approx. 200 m away. The distance to Heraklion airport is approx. 40 km.

Newly built in summer 2024 and expanded in summer 2025 to include the former Sissi Bay hotel (this part is being renovated), the hotel is an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation. Its modern, nature-inspired design and courteous service create a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to a total of 300 rooms, the hotel features an entrance area with a 24-hour reception, luggage room, elevator, Wi-Fi (included in public areas), main restaurant, à-la-carte restaurants, lobby bar, snack bar, as well as a sushi bar and a mini-market. The beautiful outdoor area of the complex includes a total of 3 freshwater swimming pools with 2 pool bars, sun terraces, and comfortable sun loungers. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available at the beach for a fee (via a local provider); a complimentary shuttle service to the beach is also provided. Furthermore, there is a free parking area (subject to availability).

The modern rooms feature a rain shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, vanity mirror, bathrobes, slippers, scale, beach towels, air conditioning, rental safe, 43" LCD satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), telephone, mini-fridge, coffee/tea station (replenished daily), Nespresso machine (2 capsules per day included), a bottle of mineral water daily, as well as a balcony or terrace (D/DI/DA).
Also available for single occupancy (DE). Also available with sea view (DMU).

Double Room Swim Up

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these feature direct pool access (SWD).
The swim-up pool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We ask for mindful behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased danger for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked in these room types.

Superior Double Room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are somewhat more spacious and feature a seating area with a sofa (DSU/DSI).

The Premium All Inclusive package at Enorme Santanna Island includes an excellent selection of food and drinks.
The Sunset Buffet Restaurant, with its inviting atmosphere, is open daily and offers a wide variety of dishes featuring international specialties and colorful theme nights.
A continental breakfast is available from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., followed by an extensive breakfast buffet from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and a late-riser breakfast from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Lunch is served buffet-style from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Dinner is available from the buffet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A late-night buffet is available from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
"Brunch&Co" is located on the first floor with a view of the sea and offers a blend of delicious favorites and healthy options from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including fresh salads, avocado toast, smoothie bowls, and plant-based options. From creamy Eggs Benedict to healthy muesli and refreshing juices, every dish is prepared with care.
From 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., a variety of sweet and savory snacks as well as a colorful selection of drinks are available at the pool bar.
In the evening, the three à-la-carte restaurants are open from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; prior reservation is required. Options include Cretan cuisine at "Veggera Cretan Cuisine", Italian specialties at "Trattoria Bella", and Asian fusion cuisine at "Umika Asian Fusion".
From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., coffee delicacies from around the world are available at "Roasta Coffee House".
Throughout the day, the mysterious pop-up crêperie opens for approx. 6 hours a day, appearing by the pool when you least expect it. Like a ghost that appears exactly when you crave something sweet, the "Nutteleria" serves freshly made crêpes.
In the evening from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., meet at the Aperol Spot, a lively bar under a spacious orange pavilion where the atmosphere is always perfect for enjoying an aperitivo before dinner.
The extensive drink selection includes water, soft drinks, juices, iced tea, and coffee variations, as well as local beer and wines, sparkling wine, aperitifs, liqueurs, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and whiskey. Additionally, a diverse range of cocktail variations and mocktails at the various bars provide refreshing variety.

Some premium spirits, champagne, and certain cocktails are not included in the All Inclusive package.

Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, is staggered from 0.50 Euro to 15 € per day and room.
For stays in high season (April 1 to October 31):
