Location

On the northwest coast of Crete, between Chania and Heraklion, lies the beautiful city of Rethymnon. It is the third largest city on the island and is particularly known for its historic old town and picturesque old harbor. The Macaris Suites & Spa Hotel is located approx. 100 m from the beautiful sandy beach and the city center of Rethymnon can be reached in approx. 1 km. The nearest supermarket is approx. 500m from the hotel. For hotel guests who like to explore other cities by bus, the nearest bus stop is approx. 100 m from the hotel. With otherwise identical amenities, these are located on the 6th-8th floors (ESM). Can also be booked with 2 bedrooms as a Sea View Suite Type A (2MA).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room from January 1, 2025.
