Location

The beautiful town of Rethymnon is located on the northwest coast of Crete, between Chania and Heraklion. It is the third-largest city on the island and is particularly well-known for its historic old town and picturesque old harbor. The Macaris Suites & Spa Hotel is located approx. 100 m from the beautiful sandy beach, and the city center of Rethymnon can be reached in about 1 km. Information on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, is staggered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room.
