The hotel complex is located in Rethymnon and is separated from the "Blue Flag" awarded sand/shingle beach by only a small coastal road. The town center with numerous restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues is approx. 2.2 km away. The distance to Heraklion airport is approx. 75 km and to Chania airport is approx. 65 km.

The luxurious Aegean Pearl hotel features a total of 112 rooms, spread across two buildings with a 24-hour reception, lounge, elevator, and TV room. It also offers a main restaurant with a terrace, an à-la-carte restaurant, a bar, and a jeweler. The outdoor area includes two freshwater swimming pools with an integrated children's pool, a sun terrace, and the "Sunset Bar". Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available to guests at the pool and beach free of charge.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the entire complex and in the rooms.

The very spacious suites have the same amenities as the double rooms, with the addition of a bathtub with hydro-massage, a separate shower, and a large balcony with sea view (S2M).

Double Room

The high-quality furnished rooms feature a bath or shower/WC (mostly open-plan bathroom with washbasin in the room), hairdryer, bathrobes, and slippers. They are also equipped with air conditioning/heating (included), telephone, satellite TV, mini-fridge (two bottles of water included upon arrival), coffee/tea maker, Nespresso machine, safe, and a furnished balcony or terrace (D/DI/DA).
Optionally bookable for single use (DE), with partial sea view (DMS/DIS), or with pool view (PD).

Double Room Deluxe Private Pool (bookable until Summer 2026)

Feature the same amenities as the double rooms, with the addition of a private pool and a view towards the sea (PPZ).
The private pool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We request cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential hazard for small children.
Therefore, at Schauinsland-Reisen, a minimum age of 6 years applies for children for bookings of these room types for safety reasons.

Double Room Superior Private Pool Sea View (bookable from Summer 2027)

Maisonette

Feature the same amenities as the double rooms, with the addition of an extra bathroom and a separate bedroom in an open maisonette style (M2).
Optionally available with sea view for an additional charge (2M).

Meals

Half Board/Full Board

Breakfast (7:30 am - 10 am) and dinner (6:30 pm - 9 pm) in buffet form. Also continental late-riser breakfast from 10 am - 11 am.
If full board is booked, lunch is also served at the snack bar (12 pm - 3:30 pm).
For dinner, appropriate attire is requested (no swimwear, etc.).

Sports included

Water aerobics, fitness room, table tennis, yoga, aerobics, and Pilates. One guided hike per week (approx. 6 km).

Sports for a fee

Mountain bike rental and water sports such as a diving center via local providers.

Note on climate resilience tax

For stays from 1/1/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of 1/1/2025.
For stays in the high season 1/4 - 31/10:
