The Theartemis Palace city hotel is located just 200 meters from the long sandy beach of Rethymnon and only a 15-minute walk from the historic city center with its beautiful narrow streets and the harbor. Heraklion Airport is approx. 80 km away and Chania Airport is approx. 68 km away.

This comfortable hotel with a total of 249 rooms features a lobby with 24-hour reception, luggage storage, elevator, lounge with terrace, Wi-Fi in public areas, main restaurant (renovated in 2025), à-la-carte restaurant, lobby bar, snack bar, jeweler, beauty shop, children's play area, fitness room, and an external spa area. In the outdoor area of the complex, you will find a sun terrace with two freshwater swimming pools including an integrated children's pool, sun loungers and parasols, as well as the pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach (via external providers).

The rooms feature bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, coffee/tea making facilities, air conditioning, safe (for a fee), satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, and a balcony or terrace (D/DI). Optionally also bookable as a super-saver room (SSZ) or with a pool view (PD) for an extra charge.

Single room

These are double rooms for single occupancy (DE).

Superior double room

These have the same facilities as the double rooms but are located on the upper floors (DSU). Optionally bookable with a pool view (DSP) for an extra charge.

Superior double room with whirlpool

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms are located on the ground floor and feature an outdoor whirlpool (JN2).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Family room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these feature a shower/WC and consist of one bedroom with 1 double bed or twin beds and a living/bedroom with 2 sofa beds (DF2).

Maisonette

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these feature a separate bedroom, shower/WC, and are laid out in a maisonette style (M2).

Suite with private pool

The suites feature a living/bedroom area that can be separated by a sliding door. The rooms have standard amenities with a private, heated outdoor pool (SP2).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.

Breakfast (7:00–10:30 a.m.) is a rich buffet.
Lunch instead of dinner is possible upon request.
Dinner (6:30–9:30 p.m.) is also served buffet-style.
