Location

The friendly hotel complex belongs to the "Minos Collection" and is centrally located on the outskirts of the town of Rethymnon. The sandy/pebble beach is about 150 m away. Various shopping and entertainment venues can be found approximately 100 m away, and the old town can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes. The nearest bus stop is about 30 m away, Heraklion airport is approx. 80 km away, and Chania airport is approx. 72 km away.

Facilities

The well-maintained Hotel Minos, with its courteous and experienced service, has a total of 174 rooms as well as a lobby with a 24-hour reception, Wi-Fi, an air-conditioned restaurant, and a bar with a terrace. Outside, there are two freshwater swimming pools, one of which is an adults-only pool, a children's pool, sun terraces, and a pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and parasols are included by the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Beach/pool towels are available for a deposit.

Double room

Equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, 40" satellite TV, air conditioning, safe, telephone, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), tea/coffee facilities including daily replenishment, and a balcony or terrace (D/DI). Beach towels are available for a deposit. A bottle of water is included upon arrival. Also available for single use (DE/DEA).

Superior double room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these also feature shower/WC, bathrobes and slippers, as well as a fruit basket and wine upon arrival (DSU/DAS/DSI). Also available for single use (DSE).

Deluxe double room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these also include a bathroom with shower/WC, bathrobes, slippers, pillow menu, tablet (for a deposit), a fruit basket and wine upon arrival, as well as an additional sleeping option and are more spacious (DD2). Also available for single use (DD1) or for an extra charge with pool view and additional amenities (turndown service and down duvets) (DPB).

Superior junior suite

With the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms, these feature a combined living/sleeping area and additionally a welcome package with fruit and sparkling wine, minibar (weekly replenishment with non-alcoholic drinks), and beach towels (JU2).

Breakfast buffet with show cooking in the Ambrosia restaurant from 7:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m., sparkling wine brunch every Sunday. When booking half board, dinner is also included as a buffet with show cooking in the Ambrosia restaurant from 6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

from 7:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m., sparkling wine brunch every Sunday. An early continental breakfast between 7:00 a.m.–7:30 a.m. is possible with prior reservation. Lunch is offered as a menu or buffet (depending on the number of participants) from 12:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
Dinner takes place as a buffet with show cooking in the Ambrosia restaurant (6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.).
Drinks at the bars (10:30 a.m.–midnight, last order at 11:00 p.m.): Cold and hot drinks, soft drinks, juices, draft beer, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic brand drinks, selected cocktails, and spirits.
During the day, cold and hot snacks (11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) as well as cookies, cakes, and waffles (4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.) are available.
For late arrivals (after 9:00 p.m.), cold dishes are served. Lunch and dinner include free mineral water, brand soft drinks, draft beer, and local wine. Vegetarian dishes are available. A dress code applies for dinner. Free participation in a gala or barbecue dinner once a week (reservation required).

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from 1 January 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a local tourist tax.
