Location

The modern Lumo Boutique Suites hotel is located in the quiet town of Plakias, in the south of Crete. The public beach is around 50 m away, the town center is 300 m away, and the first taverns and a minimarket can be found in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. A bus stop is located 350 m away. Chania Airport is approx. 95 km away and Heraklion is approx. 114 km away.

Facilities

Built in summer 2025, the hotel features a main building with 10 rooms spread over 3 floors. The 12-hour reception is staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On the roof terrace, with a magnificent view over the town to the sea, there is a pool with a sun deck and a roof top bar. Sun loungers by the pool can be used free of charge. The parking lot can also be used free of charge.

Junior Suite Outdoor Whirlpool

The spacious junior suites feature a shower/WC, toiletries, hairdryer, air conditioning, fan, safe, smart TV, mini-fridge, coffee/tea station, and a balcony with a private whirlpool (JJW).
The whirlpool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We request prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

The more spacious superior suites feature a shower/WC, toiletries, hairdryer, air conditioning, fan, safe, smart TV, mini-fridge, coffee/tea station, a sofa bed, and a balcony (SU2).

Climate resilience fee

For stays from January 1st, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience fee, to be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room as of January 1st, 2025.
For stays during the high season (April 1st - October 31st):
