The Alianthos Beach Hotel in Plakias is a small, family-run hotel with 50 rooms spread across two-story buildings. The lobby area resembles a spacious living room and features a reception (7 am-midnight) with a safe (for a fee), free Wi-Fi, internet corner, satellite TV, and an elevator. A restaurant designed in traditional Cretan style with breathtaking views of the sandy beach and Plakias Bay, as well as a beach bar, complete the charm of this family-run hotel complex. Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government is imposing a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day per room from January 1, 2025.
